Excellent
Dr. Soleja is an excellent oncologist. He is caring, thorough, and extremely knowledgeable. I’ve never felt rushed or like I was merely a number in his care. To be honest all of the medical personnel and staff at Texas Oncology have been exceptional.

Dr. Soleja consistently presents as thoughtful & considerate. Diagnosis, implications & treatment understandably explained.Researched the prescribed chemo to determine no correlation to a benign brain lesion, requiring surgery & hospitalization. Going that further step strengthened my already high confidence I was receiving the best of health care.My thanks for a extended life to Dr. Soleja on behalf of Texas Oncology.

My time with Dr. Soleja
Dr. Soleja's role in my care was small because there were so many other people I saw before spending a very short period of time with him. I believe he said the time he spent with me was 35 minutes but that must've included any time he spent reviewing my records before seeing me. I'm from an era where the doctor spends more time than anyone else but perhaps the tide is turning. My PCP referred me to a hematologist and it seemed to take a while to make an appointment. I called the number given, and had to leave a message. Then a message was left when they returned my call. We played this back and forth game for way longer than any appointment I've made. So many gatekeepers. When I finally got into see Dr. Soleja, he wasn't attentive but maybe he was having a bad day or I was. My PCP is extremely attentive and she has spoiled me. I hope Dr. Soleja is more attentive to his cancer patients. After all was said and done, I believe Dr. Soleja's staff could've made a diagnosis.

Knowledgeable and compassionate professional!
I first met Dr. Soleja when I was hospitalized for severe anemia and a chest ct. It was two weeks later that I got diagnosed with Lymphoma. Completely out of the blue, my life changed. He was very clear about what my diagnosis meant, and what treatment and symptoms I could expect. He launched the next six months of my life with honesty, clarity, and compassion…always listening intently to my experiences and making sure that all the right questions got asked and answered. I could not have hoped for a better doctor or team during my treatment process. I am thankfully now in remission, with lots of hard work put in by myself and treatment team. Forever grateful to Dr. Soleja and Tx Oncology staff.
