This doctor should not have a medical license. He doesnt care about his patient's and laughs at your concerns. I have serious heart problems since 2015. Went to this guy because he is a cardiologist. He has done nothing for me. The office is set up only to collect money. Every year he has a new in office test or procedure that results in nothing but revenue for him.

Being a cardiologist, I chose Dr. Poonia due to family history of cardio vascular issues. However...... because I have been with him for approximately 6 years and I have had enough experience, I can say without a doubt that he does not meet my expectations. I have found his office to be very disorganized, or perhaps there is a sizeable disconnect between the doctor and staff. I find him to be a poor listener and communicator. Scheduling, maintaining timely appointments, communication, follow through, all fall below my expectations and I find myself frustrated at the lack of professionalism. There has been the additional layer of confusion due to the COVID-19 situation, but with a bit of finesse, the office procedures and game plan could have been defined, carried out and communicated much better. Part of my 2021 plan will be to find another doctor.

Due to Covid-19, I scheduled a telemedicne visit at a specific time and date with his front office staff. At the scheduled time and date, he nor his staff ever called. At a random time nearly 3 hours later that the scheduled time, he called me and got my voicemail. I could have understood a few minutes late or a courtesy call from his staff providing a new date and time, but that never happened. In his voicemail, he alluded to the fact I needed to be standing by my phone AWAITING HIS CALL whenever HE DECIDED to call. I'm sorry, but that's not going to fly. He needs to keep his scheduled appointments. The lack of continuity in scheduling and communication I witnessed is a good predictor of overall professionalism and quality as a doctor. As such, I took my business elsewhere.

The doctor was well-experienced, intuitive, and the service was quick and efficient. He pinpointed the problems almost immediately. He has gone out of his way to help every single time I have visited. We need more doctors like this. Simply outstanding!

I absolutely hated this doctor. He is difficult to communicate with, and if you have issues outside of cardiology, you're better off with someone else. I had fight over fight to get basic treatment from someone who is also supposed to be a GP. He demands visits at least every other month, or you will not get your medication no matter how necessary those medications are. I've had to wait in the lobby for hours at a time to see him, and most people can't take that much time off from work.

Worst doctor ever! Based on his doctoral degree he may be qualified as a doctor but by heart and passion he is definitely not. He wouldn't signed me a doctor's note because he said that he don't know what I'm diagnose with. I was in pain and couldn't go to work. This doctor also request me to See an OBGY for some testing but when I call the place they keep telling me that my doctor have not send any referral so they cannot make the appointment. Also, worst & rude employees. Just want money!!!

No Stars. I went to this guy for a year for my heart. One day he did a body scan of some sort, he didn't say what it was for and when it was time to read the scan he said he'll be right back. Five min later his nurse came in the room and said to go to reception to schedule my next appt. I was shocked! I asked her what just happened, where is he, & why did he just do a scan and leave? She had no answer and he was with another patient. I was passed! He never did any stress tests & put false info

This is not a doctor. he sees me the patient a as money maker and only ordering procedures and not listening to the real health problem. Orders heart tests for everyone including my perfectly healthy 20 year old daughter. Switching providers ASAP. He only cares about his Punjabi people but everyone else is screwed. Plan on waiting 1-2 hrs after your appt cuz they schedule 10 people at once. Horrible. Avoid this "doctor" at all costs.

Every time I go to see him I leave either in tears or so angry I could scream. He's the only "Dr" I've ever seen in my life that makes me feel worse after I see him than I did before. He always makes appointments for regular check ups even though it's not necessary. He only sees us as income and not people. He never listens to anything you have to say, never makes eye contact, and lose weight is his answer to everything. If you have an appoinment you can count on waiting for a few hours 2 be seen

Absolutely the WORST doctor I've ever had. I agree with all the above comments because he's done exactly the same to me. I've been complaining about lower abdominal pain for months and he said it was nothing. Everybody has pain he said. Eventually I went to the ER and they discovered cancer that has spread. Avoid him at all costs. Why do they inflict these doctors only on MediCal patients.

I've never walked out of a doctor's office feeling so bad about myself. I've been dealing with the same problems for almost a year. He basically told me everything is in my head. Having what I feel is thyroid issues. He asked what my symptoms were. when I mentioned to him that i have no sex drive he asked well are you even married? Diagnosed me with chest pains and referred me to get chest xrays. I never onve mentioned any chest pains. He told me once I stop eating all my problems will go away

DEPRESSED AND NEEDING TO STARVE MYSELF..... in Clovis, CA – May 06, 2016
×Post a ResponseAre you Dr. Poonia?
His office schedules 10 people for 8:00. You have to get there at 730 and stand outside to get a seat. The doctor shows up at 9 or 930. He always demands tests that he so conveniently, has the equipment in his office. He won't refer out He has never listened to my heart, checked glands or otherwise put his hands on me. He relies on his medical assistants and tests. AVOID!!!

He always tell his patient that everything is fine even if there is a serious problem regarding patient's condition. He does not even read his assistant's note regarding the patients BP Heart rate etc... even if it is something serious. Always in a hurry and does not act professional.
