Disappointed
Over an hour late, doesn't listen, but the biggest concern is that he had paperwork from the LAST patient sitting on the desk for me to easily see while waiting in the room alone. I saw the previous patient's name, diagnosis, meds, labs.. YIKES!

Competent And Thorough
First off, I can see why the negative reviews. Not my experience but Dr. Sikder isn't a chummy or talkative guy. I'd say he's an 'Analytical' type that doesn't have time for small talk and is very focused on his job. A very dry personality. So don't be looking for a warm beside manner. That aside, he is very competent, he asks the right questions and is very dedicated. Very professional and I recommend him. Just be aware of the personality type.

Rude, dismissive, won't answer questions
Dr. Mohammed Sidker is rude and dismissive. I have never been treated so rudely by a doctor in my life. I was absolutely shocked. He responded to a question on bloodwork results with "I don't do things that way. I know what I'm doing, you should trust me." He ticked off each result on his computer and didn't offer details. Just nodded and said good. I asked another question on what a physical test he performed in office tells him and he said "You don't need to know". He briefly touched on diet, then I asked about the effects of alcohol and kidney disease which he answered with "I don't know". REALLY?! He's a terrible doctor. Completely disrespectful. He actually asked if we had any questions when the 10-minute appt was ending. I was speechless. A specialist should answer all questions from patients and a person should never have blind faith in any doctor. I'll be seeking a more collaborative, informative and communicative physician immediately.

I have found Dr. Sikder to be a friendly, compassionate doctor. He is professional and very knowledgeable. I would recommend him to anyone who seeks quality kidney care.
