Dr. Mohammad Rifai, MD

Dr.Rifai was amazing and patient with me and my family. We would have liked a little more speed and punctuality but we are all human. I was admitted to the hospital November 14th after my oncologist saw a mass on my spine from an MRI. He was very interested in getting as much information from me as possible to have a full clear picture. Letting me know surgery was going to happen. He said that if scheduling would allow him we would do it before Thanksgiving but didn't want to rush in.The day of my surgery he came in an sat next to my husband and I and listened. I told him I was very nervous and had never had a Procedure like this. Can you tell me exactly what you're going to do. As well as best, and worst case. He stopped by every day to check in on me and always listened to what I had to say.

Dr. Rifai is my physician of choice. I trust him completely and feel he has my best interests at heart. He patiently listens and answers my questions, and he never rushes me through my appointment. He is very skilled and when he says he is going to take away the pain to make me feel better he means it! I love Dr. Rifai! I highly recommend him.

After going through unnecessary pain management process and weeks of suffering, Dr Rifai provided me with excellent care in timely matter. Surgery was performed and I was no longer in pain and walking only after 1 day after surgery. It was like a miracle! Forever grateful to this amazing doctor.

I fractured my neck in a couple of places. Dr Rifai put them back together and added a couple clamps everything went real well. I would suggest him as your surgeon.

Appointment was rescheduled twice. The day of the appointment waited over an hour before I was called. Front office not friendly. Doctor did NOT explain the results of MRI and MRA and did not let me as questions and rushed thru appointment and said he will send me to another doctor in Chicago conversation only lasted about 3 minutes which I recorded the conversation. Doctor leaves and then nurse comes back and says here’s the doctors information called them to make appointment.

I was blessed to have such an experienced surgeon that truly gave me back my quality of life. I am truly grateful for Dr. Rafai.

From the warm & friendly welcome from the receptionist Gail to the prompt and professional communication from Administrative Assistant Brea to the caring and knowledgeable nature of the medical assistant Lauren...and of course.... The expert within his field , Dr Rifia. Although I never imagined I would need assistance of a Neuro specialist (Brain doctor) , I’m glad my family doctor recommended this professional! In addition, they are technologically advanced to accommodate all generations...

Follow up from a spinal surgery 3 months ago. Dr. Rifai is a skilled surgeon and has a kindly manner dealing with patients.

If you are overweight don't go he wouldn't help you

It was my first time to meet Dr. Jaffer. I found him to be very friendly and personable. He did not rush me and seemed very concerned about why I came to visit him. I have been coming to Dr. Rifai's office for many years and have always found that whatever Physician I came to see in the practice, was always very pleasant and concerned for my well being. I always recommend Neuro Spinal to anyone that has severe back problems. My best friend went to Dr. Rifai because I highly recommended him. As long as I live in NW Indiana I will be seeing Neuro Spinal for any of my back problems. Dr. Rifai made it possible for me to get a Morphine Pump in my side instead of taking pain killers and it has been a lifesaver for me. Thanks to him, I am not on any oral pain drugs.

Dr. Rifai has done spinal surgery on me in the past and I am going to use him again on a lower back issue. He is a calm and caring doctor who takes his time with you and listens to your issues.

THE OFFICE STAFF is VERY UNPROFESSIONAL.I HAD AN APPT & THE OFFICE LEFT ME 4 MSGS SAYING DR. WON'T B IN. THAT WASN'T GOOD ENOUGH! INSTEAD THEY USED MY EMERGENCY CONTACT NUMBER TO TELL THEM FOR ME THAT DR.WON'T B IN. THAT IS B.S THAT WAS NOT AN EMERGENCY! AFTER 4 MESSAGES WHY WLD THEY THINK I DIDN'T GET THEM?CAUSE I DIDN'T BACK FAST ENOUGH FOR THEM. THAT IS WHY FROM NOW ON I DON'T PUT DWN AN EMERGENCY #. SORRY BUT THEY SHOULD B FIRED! BEFORE THIS HAD APPT I GAVE THE GIRL AT THE FRONT DESK MY DISKS. ME & MY SISTER WERE IN THE RM THEY KEPT ASKING ME WHO I HAVE THEM TO TOLD THEM AND THEY COULDN'T FIND MY DISKS SO WE SAID SCREW THIS AND WALKED OUT. NEVER GO TO THIS DR. CAUSE ALL THEY'LL DO IS HARASS U WITH PHONE CALLS & LOOSE EVERYTHING U GAVE THEM
