Stay away from him!
honestly wish I could give him no stars at all! He was terrible. My mother in law lived 81 days after seeing him. 81 days he failed her! We had an appointment with him for Dementia Parkinson’s and he told us she was fine. He told us I was pathetic for thinking that. She had brain shrinkage due to drug use. We were from Cocke County and that’s all that was here was drug users. Mind you my mother in law had never taken a drug in all her 65 years of life. If he had read her chart prior to seeing her then he would’ve known. She was allergic to narcotics. But he didn’t! 81 days he went on about his day and never thought about her again. From that day I told him we would never be back and I would try my best to get people to avoid him at all cost! He laughed and said leave me a review! We took her Vanderbilt where there are real doctors and they listened and we got her the helped she needed. But just maybe just maybe if he had listened and helped us she might still be here. But NO

Dr. Hussain is Good but Office is Awful
The office was unhelpful in helping me with issues I had with insurance and getting in contact with the doctor. Dr. Hussain was informational and knowledgeable but his office experience was not good.

Upon check-in, I waited 10 minutes in the primary line before relocating to an alternate line. The receptionist there advised me to return to the original line, requiring a supplementary 5-minute wait to finalize check-in. Then I waited for two hours, assuming the delay was due to scheduling backlog. However, the nurse informed me that I was overlooked because my name was not checked off her list. She subsequently commended me for my lengthy wait. Notably, I had invested an hour and a half driving to the facility, so yes I waited. The doctor then retrieved me from the hallway. He asked multiple times about MRI locations, which struck me as unusual given his medical expertise. I advised him that Open MRI was situated in Greeneville, but he incorrectly spelled 'Greenville' and subsequently ruled out Greeneville as a possibility for the MRI. The reception desk promptly scheduled the appointment and mentioned that they exclusively refer their open MRI patients to Greeneville.

Doc “running behind”
Had an appointment scheduled for 11:30. They said to be 20 minutes early being new patient so I got there at 5 till 11 just to make sure I had time. Sat there until I finally walked out at 10 till 3. There is no reason to wait 4 hours for a doc appointment no matter what the specialist is. Warning for anyone thinking of going to him DONT!!!! Talking to other patients he is slow and doesn’t really care. Either treat patients with respect and I get docs run behind but to run 4 hours behind is unacceptable.

He's very rude and refuses to fill the medicines that you can take that will help with migraines and refuses to fill a medicine unless it has codeine.

Wait Time
This isn't about the visit, so much as calling with a question, and not getting a call back. I have never gotten a call back. I have called 3 times in the last 2 weeks, and have not received a call back yet. Time to call again.

Don't see him
I tried to give this doctor multiple chances to be my doctor for MS treatment. The 1st time, doctor prescribed a medication to treat migraines but, instead the medication caused stroke-like side effects. When I contacted doctor about it, he refused to take accountability. I had to get my mother who's a doctor in another state to access me because I wasn't receiving informative help & guidance from Dr. Hussain. I stopped seeing him shortly after. Because finding a neurologist to treat MS is hard, I tried seeing him again. My husband was with me the second time. We tried asking questions but, Dr. Hussain acted like we were acusing him of something & basically told us he was done & like a 2 year old, he stormed out.

Dr Housain
He has always taken good care of me for 17 years. He is extremely versed in neurology and is aware that improvement is doubtful after a period of time...some of the reviews I have read are ridiculous and their perception is off (perhaps because they have limited knowledge of neurology) or because they expect to get a miracle worker. He doesn't have a magic wand! If you have damage in your brain it is mostly irreparable..... this is not Star Treck and we don't have advanced technology to that extent! Dr Housain is knowledgeable in his field and excellent at diagnosis, treatment and expectations.

Dr Hussain is a wonderful Doctor. Very knowledgeable about M S. I wanted to thank Marissa for all of the help and trouble she had to go through to set up home health care. No one is taking new patients bc of COVID and is short handed. Marissa has worked on this for 4 days for me. I just wanted to thank her for all her time and trouble. She’s very nice and professional and really cares about the patient.

The doctor never orders test, never gets to the root case of the problem. Keeps on giving the same medication even though it does not work even though I have been on it for months. Not a great doctor in my opinion for people have memory issues, unless you want to never truly find out anything about what is causing your problems. Stay away from Healthstar doctors if you can, in my opinion they are only worried about getting your money.

This office is exceptional. I truly believe that the Morristown staff was holding Dr. Hussain and his reputation back. Since they have moved to the Jefferson City office my experience there has been tremendously better. Dr. Hussain has always been kind and thorough. He really takes his time to explain everything. His Jefferson City staff is completely different and it shows. They are wonderful and always take their time.

I would like to let everyone know that this is without a doubt the worst doctors office I have ever tried to work with. This office cancelled my appointment without telling me. I called 5 days in a row trying to reschedule and no on picked up the phone. I called at all times of the day, when they first opened, around 10, and so on. I called multiple times each day and nothing. I truly hate this man and his office for no doing there job. If you want to die, this man will leave you to die.

Staff was wonderful and friendly. Dr. Hussain was so helpful, caring and understanding. My husband had a second stroke & Dr. Hussain was very helpful & prescribed my husband some meds/ exercise with problems he was dealing with. He also gave him an excellent evaluation more thorough then the other doctors we have seen. We drove an hour and half to see him. My only regret is that we did not see him after the first stroke, maybe the 2nd one would not have happened. I highly recommend him.

The receptionist were not attendative. One hour and a half of wait time common. Hussain would not expound on speculation or prognosis of test results. Kept repeating thither his job was to only give results of test, that's all. All questions " It's not his job". Informed him that medications creating bad side affects and he wrote another prescription for same thing. Will not provide medical evaluation due to " Not knowing me before condition started. My evaluation is God's somewhere else.
