Dr. Mohamed Mahmoud, MD

Dr. Mahmoud is excellent. His front office staff at Lantern Bend office is not. First they took $1,853 at check in after checking with insurance benefits even though the procedure was regarded preventative at no charge and no deductible. I had to take the initiative to call them about a refund. They did not call me. The procedure was performed on 2-22 and I am still fighting to get my money as of 3-20. Second, I had to use my credit card since the check in clerk could not figure out how to use it. Third, the check in clerk was rude to me and all others before me. Fourth, the refund is apparently in progress but rather than reimbursing my credit card, they are mailing me a check. Fifth, after checking on the status I was put on hold and after a long wait they system started re-dialing. That happened twice. Phone etiquette and professionalism is lacking with the numerous staff members I spoke with. Dr. Mohamoud needs a new admin staff.

Despite the weather Dr. Mahmoud saw me for my 6 month appointment. He spent a good while with me reviewing my progress and future testing plans. He is very pleasant and extremely knowledgeable in his discipline. I highly recommend him for your gastrointestinal needs and for your liver health.
