Disc steroid injection - Perfect process
From the time I checked in at the front desk, to the time I was leaving, it was less than 30 mins. The front desk was organized, efficient and friendly. All my pre-procedure paperwork was ready. The staff and doctor were ready for me in the procedure room and again, were friendly and prepared. The next morning, the office called to check on me and professionally answered all my questions. In 72 hours afterwards, I will know if it will help me. Today, I have no pain but that could be from the other medication in the injection to dull the area.

My sister can't take codeine it gives her chest pains. It even states this on her chart. She had a total hip replacement and he gave her pain medication with codeine. Even after I called his office and explained this to them he still called her in another pain medication with codeine!!! I would not recommend this Dr at all

Amazing and great results
I’ve been a patient for about 5 years and love it. His staff is great and they always make me feel at home. For every procedure, he explains everything in details and I feel I can ask him any questions. I had back surgery years ago, and getting the epidural shots improved my quality of life. I’m pain free for about 4-6 months and happy with my results. Definitely highly recommended and so glad I found him. Thanks!

Lack of compassion for his patients
I scheduled my appointment 3 weeks prior to the day of my appointment. My appt. was at 9:30. I was not seen until 10:10 am. I brought medical records with me and asked them to include them in my records. Those records showed that I have extensive spine damage due to 4 car wrecks. I was also hit by a car while on my bicycle. I was taken to an Emergency Room. I had spinal fusion done on the lower 2 vertebra of my neck. That neural surgeon treated my pain before and after the surgery using a prescription medication. My pain was relieved such that I could again enjoy life. About 6 months after the surgery, the pain returned in my neck. I told Dr. Azzam that my pain severity was at level 8 out of 10. (That information is posted in many emergency rooms.) At level 8, it is Intense. My pain is so severe that it is hard to think of anything else. Talking and listening are difficult. He asked me many questions and I answered truthfully. He refused to treat my pain.

This “Doctor” is the worst.
Worst pain management in all of Texas. Doesn’t even meet with the patient (even online), always sends his PAs (who do nit know what they are doing), and is somehow able to diagnose and treat patients without even talking to them. It is a shame this person is even associated with Methodist as every other team was great. You are a terrible, terrible “doctor” with a cookie cutter, non patient specific treatment plan who leaves the patient alone and in pain. Again, just terrible.

waste of time and money
All appointments were very rushed. Seemed to try to squeeze in as many patients as possible. I actually had to ask him to wait before leaving the room to answer questions. After months of treatment with no relief, I found Dr. Janardhanan. After successful treatment, I can work and live with minimal pain. Dr. Azzam is nice, but doesn't listen.

Dr. Azzam and his staff attempted to assist my mother with pain medication until she could have a spinal injection. Mother's situation was later discovered to be more dire than anyone knew, and she was unable to get stronger medication (legally) or make it to the spinal injection appointment. Dr. Azzan and staff advised us where to take mother and handled the direct admit with the hospital for pain management. I greatly appreciated all they did at this very unfortunate health decline of my mother.

I don't know him. But his name is on my pain prescription (7 days of supply) after my back surgery @ Methodist hospital. Pharmacy has been trying to contact him for a refill with no success for days. He must be a painkiller miracle doc. huh. Anyone can expect to be free of pain in 7 days after a major spine surgery.

Dr Azzam and his his staff are the worst people I have ever dealt with in the medical field. The front desk staff are extremely rude. His NP/office manager Rachel is so ditzy she can't remember her patients and what she discussed with them in the visit. But by far the worst is Dr Azzam. He only cares about gossiping with his front desk staff and making you wait for 45 plus minutes even if you are the only patient there, money - he makes patients that just had surgery come into his office for an appointment to collect money to give them their pain meds. I would stay clear of this horrible Dr

Absolutely love Dr. Azzam and Rachel. They are so great and helpful. My husband sees them about his back problems and he is very helpful and quick to get him in. I see them for my auto immune diseases and the pain it causes. I’m not a typical “fit inside the box” kind of patient and I was so happy to find them and not have them try to push things I don’t want. I highly recommend Advanced Pain Management.
