Dr. Mittal Patel, MD

My first civilian dr’s visit for routine care after losing my mom and making sure I was on a better path and Dr. Patel was the worst choice and not the one for me. Her student/intern spoke to me first and I felt comfortable as it’s not easy to talk about and she leaves and Dr. Patel rushes in and starts talking as if I had spoken to her and she’s known my situation for years. I was floored, she had no compassion and did not even take heed to any of my actual concerns. No empathy, no compassion— just a transaction it was so disappointing. I will be cancelling my next appointment and finding a new primary care provider.

She is OK. She is easy to talk to, but she's not 100% present in your visit. She's already thinking about getting to the next patient. The office treats patients like an assembly line - always ready to get to the next patient and meet their daily quota. She is not easy to get in contact with either. Not easily accessible and neither is her team.

I enjoy my visits and she listens well.

This doctor attended me at the University Hospital for Acute Pancreatitis. She made very calculated decisions in the interest of the hospital and was very methodical in her plans for my discharge. She executed her plan without a flaw. Her attentiveness to my personal care, however, was not a priority. She is a business woman not a caring physician. She was the last of four doctors to care for me, if I had known I could have fired her, I would have. I strongly recommend any other doctor.

I would recommend Dr MJ Patel to family & friends. She takes the time to listen and checks my symptoms throughly. She is a people person ?? l am very happy to be her patient and i recieve a print-out , of my visit, listing everything that has been done. ??????????
