Dr. Mitchel Leavitt, MD

Absolutely the worst. We paid for a consultation to get a epidural that was ordered by our Spine Specialist. After the consult, we got a call that the procedure had been denied by our insurance. Upon follow up, the pre-authorization had not even been submitted. Of course, once we got our insurance company involved...it miraculously went through. The staff was rude and condescending and acted like we were stupid enough to believe the lies that they were telling us to cover themselves. We asked for our money back and they refused. Terrible experience and a complete waste of time. We saw Dr. Leavitt's PA-Karl Klein.

Dr Leavitt is a true professional always on time. It is so refreshing to have a doctor listen to you and show real compassion. I wish all doctors had is bedside manner.

Takes his time to explain what is the best treatment options. Honest, ethical, and professional. He also took time to educate me on what some of my recent injuries contributed to the decision making in my overall health care.

He tells you the problem and what he can do to fix it and that he does.Excellent person excellent doctor

I respect him but feel he could be more thoughtful in his Remarks. He is skilled and knowledgeable and I have confidence in him. I have found he is also impatient if he feels you go on too long when you’re trying to get answers. He interrupts and rudely shuts you down.

Dr. Leavitt is very knowledgeable and wonderful at what he does. He and his staff are friendly and ready to answer any questions you may have. I will continue to see Dr. Leavitt and will recommend him to any of my family and friends.

Dr Leavitt was very thorough in what was going on with my back and what plan is going forward. He was not rushed during visit. His staff was very nice and called back promptly.

Dr. Leavitt always spends time talking with me and answering my questions as if I’m his only patient. He has performed several procedures and is always gentle and caring. He has worked me in before a vacation so I would enjoy my trip. He is managing my pain so I can live an active life. I highly recommend him.

I had a very troubling experience with Dr. Leavitt. During my visit, he displayed rage and unprofessional behavior. When I raised concerns about my treatment, Dr. Leavitt became visibly agitated and untruthful about the situation. I had a bad fall due to Dr. Leavitt's mistake in not warning me about that possibility. And I wanted to make sure it didn't happen to his other patients. When I told him that I could have been physically harmed or died as a result of falling, he became sarcastic and stated, 'Yeah, you could have been shot too.'What followed was shocking and completely unacceptable. Dr. Leavitt began pacing back and forth in front of me, yelling, 'Ma'am! Ma'am! I don't care!' His behavior was erratic, and he stormed out of the room, continuing to shout in the hallway for everyone to hear. I heard the nurse trying to calm him down. This experience left me feeling unsafe and completely disrespected. I strongly advise others to seek care elsewhere.

Dr. Leavitt has been treating me for 3 years for an issue with my foot and now an issue related to my back surgery. When one procedure does not work, he is willing to try another one. He always gives me hope, but not false promises. He is always willing to explain things to me and show me what he is going to do. My husband and I both think he is a great Dr.

I have been very impressed with his kindness, professionalism and down to earth personality. I felt as though he cared about me as a person. He listened to my concerns and addressed them thoroughly. The entire office staff was friendly and helpful. Short wait times and quick response to messages. Definitely recommend Dr Leavitt and Athens AOC.

I have had 2 spinal ablations from Dr. Leavitt. He explains every move, is gentle, and very caring through the procedure. I have had huge pain relief both times. The staff at Athens Orthopedics in Loganville is the best.

This was my first visit with Dr Leavitt I found him to be pleasant and professional.He has an excellent bedside manner , test results was explained in a patient and compassionate manner. Overall he has a great sense of concern for his patients health.

I was very pleasantly surprised with this initial visit with Dr. Leavitt. He was very relatable, down to earth which helped ease my 'white coat syndrome';) He was also very thorough in explaining my back issues and potential procedures for relief. Both are so important to me for comfort and confidence in a doctor. Additionally my wait time in the waiting room and the doctor's office each no more than 5 minutes. Wow! I have had for back surgeries over the last 10 years and I end up with still pain down my right leg. Part of my left and Dr. Levitt has been treating me and giving me excellent care.. Athens Orthopedics are the only people I would recommend. Thank you, Dr. Levitt.

Got right to the problem and explained everything that he could do to help me with my neck pain and headaches. Didn't rush the appointment and was able to give me the injection that was required.

Dr. Leavitt is so attentive and listens to you. He doesn’t always tell you what you want to hear but he tells you what you need to hear!! Highly recommend Dr. Leavitt!!!
