Dr. Miriam Lefkowitz, MD

I have been going to Dr Lefkowitz for over 10 years. In the past year or so I have noticed a huge change in her practice and it is not positive. Her office is outdated and dirty. I had blood results that came in and instead of her calling me she had her her office staff with results that were not great and understandably she could not answer the question. She is always rushing in and out and does not take time like she used to. She also was training 2 PA's and they just walked into my room- no intro no nothing and then she came in with no explanation. She also misdiagnosed me about a year ago but I thought it is okay Dr.'s make mistakes too but no follow up at all with me knowing when I came to her office with bad bloodwork and a fever over 101.5. This past week was my breaking point due to another mix up with paperwork the night before my surgery. Sadly, I am leaving her practice.

I have been seeing Dr. Lefkowitz for 5 plus years. Never once have any negative thoughts ever even crossed my mind. She is kind, compassionate, caring, professional, knowledgeable, educated, thorough, and just a great doctor. She has a busy practice, but always takes the time needed. She is strict with refilling prescriptions, but this just means that she is being a GREAT doctor. I left my previous doctor because of rude comments and a lack of sensitivity to some of my health issues. I have never felt this way with Dr. Lefkowitz. I highly recommend Dr. Lefkowitz.

As far as I am concerned, Dr Lefkowitz went beyond simply coordinating my care, including setting up urgent specialist appointments that I couldn’t manage on my own. That alone has made a significant difference in my overall health.I understand there are some reviews that reflect a negative experience (almost always to be expected), but I believe they don’t capture the full picture of the first-rate care she provides. So I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a compassionate and competent physician.

What visit!!! I was 10 min late due to construction traffic and she wouldn’t even see me even though it took me close to an hour to get there. Mind YouTube have Ben a patient for years. No consideration at all!! Time to find someone who actually cares!!!

I have been a patient of Dr. Lefkowitz for over 5- years, i have found her to be a caring and knowledgeable doctor. In addition, I find the staff to be professional and friendly.

I had been going to the dr for a couple of years & was pleased, until they started sending my labs out of network (unbeknownst to me) - they had told me they would be using in network labs. I have over $1,300 in 2 bills from the lab. The dr’s office won’t call back. In March, they told me they got it sorted out with the lab representative & nothing was owed, to only get new invoices in Sept for the same labs.

My husband and I have relied on her for many years and we love her! However her staff isn’t great.

She was ok but didn’t even bring my chart in asked how I was did a little check up my prescription was messed up and I called office 3 times said they would take care of it nfever did on the 4th call said tell Dr. I quit taking med they said ok we will take care of it never did I go Weds let’s see what happens

I started going to this Doctor roughly 1.5 months ago; Needless to say, I’ve been there maybe 4 times already because I feel extremely rushed, uncared for, and completely misunderstood is WHY I KEEP RETURNING! I have paid a co-pay every visit and the doctor literally doesn’t sit in the room for more than two minutes.. my appointment before my last..she was literally walking out the room as I was still talking .. she’s completely careless, unprofessional and rude! She has absolutely no patience what so ever and her system is completely unacceptable.. additionally, every single time I needed a prescription called in.. it took 2/3 reminders. Her staff is utterly rude (not all) and it’s appears they know who is calling and how to respond to them!!! My first visit with her was descent.. after that she was a horrible disaster!!!!! She literally doesn’t make you feel comfortable at all. I wouldn’t recommend anyone going to her .. especially as a younger person in your 20’s or 30’s!!

I had no trouble with her as a doctor, but her office doesn't accept credit cards. They also aren't responsive when it comes to filling prescriptions; these are problems with the office management.

This is the absolute worst person I have ever met in my life, and yes person, not even doctor. I am a 20 year old who was sitting on my death bed 9/7/19 meanwhile Miriam Lefkowitz (who should clearly not have her doctorate and I have no idea how she schemed her way to get it) told me that the ER diagnosis was wrong and that I would be out the next day. I spent 11 days in the hospital 8 of them being in the ICU, yet to her I still wasn’t sick LOL. I asked her while I was in the hospital if she would be writing a note for me for school because I am not able to return for the semester and she said yes. Turns out it is the next week and she REFUSED to write me one without seeing her first. That is fine BUT she had already canceled and/or said she was not available to see me! Her staff is nasty and rude and are obviously very comfortable talking back to clients in a disrespectful manner. I would never recommend anyone to even look in the direction of this “doctor” as she laughed in my face

I have seen many doctors in my life, but Dr. Lefkowitz is the WORST! She left the room to make copies and never returned. She totally neglected my need for refills and left my questions unanswered. Her office staff is unresponsive and leaves you hanging on the phone. The office is unprofessional and a real disappointment. I will NEVER go back nor will I recommend her to anyone.

Dr. Lefkowitz is unprofessional and careless. She doesn’t return calls and is insensitive when delivering diagnoses and or recommendations. Do not waste your time!

Dr. Lefkowitz never seems rushed or in a hurry and takes the time to explain issues and treatments and asks all the right questions. She's very good and I would recommend her.

Never had any problems with Dr. Lefkowitz nor her staff. I was treated with respect at all times. Dr. Lefkowitz took the time to examine and explain whatever issues I had going on. She is always respectable and knowledgeable in her task and concern in whats going on. I would recommend her. As far as her staff is concern, they have always been very respectable as well, if you need to get a message to Dr. Lefkowitz, when shes not available, they make sure she gets it and get right back to you

I bless the day I found Dr. Lefkowitz! Through her, I have been referred to extremely appropriate and competent specialists when needed (for example: opthamologist, oral surgeon.) My husband and I both have Dr. Lefkowitz as our PCP and would gladly refer friends and family to her without reservation.

Dr literally has spent no more than 2 minutes with me every time. I feel very rushed. She's not thorough at all. Before every appt they make you fill out a paper for you to check off for any symptoms you may be experiencing. she doesn't even acknowledge that or look at it. As for the office staff, no better. Rude, ignorant. Have to call multiple times to get things done. The nurses who takes you in before the dr sees you are so illiterate. if pulse thing wont work, doesn't bother measuring HR
