I saw dr bowers 4 times in a 6 months period. Few weeks after the first visit, I had my follow up with her. Usually in follow ups, your physician already knows some basic information about you. Dr Bowers, unfortunately, was that clueless about me, that she had to ask me if im single or if i work!? Felt like "she doesn't care" On third visit, I told her my health hasn't improved even a bit and she doubled the dosage of medication! The 4th visit with her, went that awful that I decided Im done with her. Throughout the phone call visit, she was unprofessional and disrespectful to me.... she humiliated me, (she stated that she feels, she's talking to a 5 years old kid, not an adult!) she bullied me, (she told me she thinks I'm unable to use some service as I need to have no criminal records! I have NO criminal history, yet she assumed I am a criminal or something...!?) she had 0 sympathy or understanding of my medical conditions and the list goes on... Im not going to see her again and I dont suggest anyone to do...

Helped turn my life around
I started seeing Dr. Bowers about 6 months ago. She diagnosed me and gave me options for medicines. I did my own research and reading on the meds and decided on one that has helped me a great deal. She helped turn my life around. I was in very bad shape mentally and emotionally. Dr. Bowers is very caring and she listens, she asks me questions about my life, work, relationships, etc and offers me advice. Her appointments may run over but it is because she takes her time with her patients. Also, she told me I can always call her if I ever need immediate assistance which I no other doctor has offered. I’m really happy with her and my experience with her has been phenomenal.

Not helpful
Dr. Bowers is always late for our appointments and incredibly forgetful. She also expects you to tell her which medication to prescribe. Not helpful with suggestions. One of the worst experiences I’ve had with a psychiatrist.

Excellent Doctor
I have been with Dr. Bowers for several years and she is the most kind, compassionate doctor I have ever had. She really listens, asks and answers questions and is truly concerned about you as a person. Appointments will sometimes run over time because she will take the time needed for her patients. Am NOT in favor of the surveys Cle Clinic send out to you after a visit asking if your provider was on time!! A really good doctor will take extra time if needed. I highly recommend Dr. Minnie Bowers!

Very poorly practiced doctor
I've been at Lutheran hospital a few years ago, and Dr. Minnie was managing medications in the in-patient setting. She was not at all helpful during my stay at the hospital, as she was not certain with her diagnosis and she and her senior resident did not have a strong grasp on medications. The medication that they gave me actually made me suicidal for the first time in the hospital, which caused trauma later on in my life. I DO NOT recommend this doctor.

I am a young adult and Dr. Minnie has been my psychiatrist for about a year now and I only have good things to say about her. She actually takes time with her patients to discuss their lives, feelings, symptoms, etc. She is a great listener and is never pushy with her medical advice, but more of what I feel comfortable doing in terms of my health. I would recommend Minnie as a psychiatrist.

dr. bowers is a very nice lady, on a personal level. but her clinical skills leave a great deal to be desired. she gives the impression that she is a good listener, which she is, and very empathic. however, i do not feel that she has a very good grasp on mental health issues, diagnoses and treatment. her clinical skills are very poor and i do not trust her judgment when dispensing medication.
