Mikhail Yakubov On March 4th, I had my first visit with Dr. Mikhail Yakubov due to an onset of diarrhea and burning in my stomach. He diagnosed me with diverticulitis and recommended I follow a diet for patients with this diagnosis. I followed his recommendation to the “T” with no resolve. He then prescribed antibiotics. I sent Dr Yakubov two messages via the patient portal advising the burning sensation went away but the diarrhea did not. I messaged him on the portal and left a message with his assistant requesting alternate advice. Dr Yakubov never responded on the patient portal nor did he return my call. On March 14th, I scheduled a tele-visit with him. We discussed the results from my radiology exam which confirmed I did not have diverticulitis. Dr Yakubov then advised the diarrhea would “probably go away on its own and to schedule another follow up visit a month later.” I was concerned this recommendation could put me into a state of dehydration (and I communicated this to him) which in turn could potentially affect my organs. At this point, I did not feel seen nor heard by Dr. Yakubov. I’m addition, I did not even receive a follow up call to obtain a status update. After getting another opinion, I discovered that Dr Yakubov’s recommendation to wait for the diarrhea to go away would have been detrimental because specific measures had to be taken to remedy my situation. I am angry and frustrated that I was not treated with the care and concern any patient should receive. In addition, after reviewing his office’s website I find it highly unlikely that ALL of the physicians listed (including himself) have a five star rating. Good luck if you do decide to use his services. However, from personal experience, I do not recommend Dr Yakubov’s services.

Dr. Yakubov is excellent. Skilled, thorough, patient, and friendly. In a healthcare system with rushed clinicians glued to monitors, Dr. Yakubov is refreshingly engaging with patients, listens well, and explains everything in a clear and accessible way. Grateful for his care.
