If you care about your health and well-being, steer clear of Dr. Mikhael El Chami, MD. Let me share my unsettling experience, a tale of misdiagnosis, wounded egos, and a year-long struggle with a debilitating arrhythmia that could have been life-threatening. With an implanted loop recorder demanding constant monitoring, I entrusted my care to Dr. El Chami. However, a second opinion at the esteemed Cleveland Clinic shattered the foundations of his initial diagnosis, revealing a stark contradiction in his approach. Instead of handling the situation like a professional, Dr. El Chami let his wounded pride dictate his actions, leading to a vindictive blackballing from Emory Cardiology. The repercussions were dire. I lost access to the crucial monitoring of my device, designed to detect potential deadly arrhythmias. Shockingly, this lapse in care only came to light when attempting to switch to another Emory electrophysiologist. My hope for collaborative treatment with the Cleveland Clinic was crushed as Dr. El Chami's childish retaliation had me blackballed. Emory scheduling confirmed the drop and a written complaint from Dr. El Chami, making it impossible for me to see any cardiologist at Emory. My life was put at risk, not due to medical complexities, but because of a bruised ego. If you value your health and life, I implore you to avoid Dr. Mikhael El Chami. My firsthand account serves as a stark reminder of the dangers when a doctor's ego takes precedence over proper patient care.

A Rare Find in the Medical World
Dr El-Chami is one of the only docs I’ve seen on here with 5 star reviews that actually earns all his stars. He is kind, understanding, approachable, and really listens. I feel like I’m part of the decision-making process in the best way…he gives his thoughts but also listens. His staff is nice and his fellow is also approachable and kind. So happy to have found this office.

There simply aren’t enough stars to rate the kindness, competence, and sincerity this man has to offer. Meeting numerous cardiologists and never getting answers was sadly the “norm” for us. One visit to this incredible talent and all of our questions and prayers were answered. He simply saved my mothers life.
