Dr. Mikael Brisinger, MD

I had a horrible experience with this Doctor because he almost pressured me into terminating my pregnancy when we worked at the Kaiser in Los Angeles. He was the first Doctor I saw after learning I was pregnant, during the visit the doctor had a lot of personal questions about my lifestyle that made me uncomfortable. I'm a woman of color and he was asking me about my relationship with the father and what the father's reaction was to the pregnancy. I was 6 weeks pregnant at the time of this appointment, during the ultrasound he told me he could not detect a heartbeat and that it was probably a miscarriage and he could take it out for me right now. I told him I wanted to keep the baby and again I pressured me by saying it will be really easy for him to remove the baby and there was a good chance it was a miscarriage. I insisted no, he then said I can wait a week to see if a heartbeat appears. This was the longest week of my life and I now have a beautiful 5 year old.

Came to him as a "specialist"after an ultrasound by my primary Dr. found a cyst on my ovary. He preformed an ultrasound and told me it was "nothing"- probably just gas and I should fast for a few days and loose some weight. After an MRI (which Dr. Brisinger told me I should cancel, because I didn't need it), they confirmed that I had a complex mass on my ovary. I'm glad I pushed for a second opinion and would not trust him with my health.

Dr.Brisinger monitored both of my pregnancies. He is great! I am planning to move to another state and having a hard time thinking that my following pregnancies won’t be under the care of the wonderful doctor! I knew I was heard, my concerns were addressed and my babies were safe! I am so thankful!

He is the best of the best and i was sad when he moved to another city, he gave me my life back free of pain due to endometrosis and thanks to his help im the mother of three beautiful children and i will highly recommend him, he is the best of the best

I recently came back to Kaiser after being on medi-cal. My very first visit with Dr. Brisinger went very well. He made me feel very comfortable right from the start. He is very professional, personable, and very kind. I am very happy to have Dr. Brisinger as my OB. I must also add, his nurses Cherry and Andee (Andree) very very nice.

I was quite happy to have an appointment with Dr. Brisinger, he is very professional, he clear out of my questions, he and his team were quite friendly, everything done in a timely matter and what I found sublime about him is he really took the time explaining things which I wasn't sure as I just arrived in the USA, therefore I really had many questions.

Dealing while a high risk pregnancy and two previous preterm labor ones I was Worried about my next Doctor. My others hadn't taken my situation seriously which complicated a lot. Dr. Brisinger is one of the greatest dr's I've ever had. He pays attention and took all of my concerns very seriously. I would recommend him to anyone who asks!
