The kindness of everyone there, it was not just one person.Everyone was so nice and I kept saying that during my visit.

This is not a review for Dr. Patel Specifically as i've never met him. This is a review for the Staff in his office, specifically the front desk. I had been in and out of the hospital for the past several weeks dealing with Gastro issues. When I was released the very last day they gave me a written referral to be seen by Dr. Patel within 3-5 days. When I got home I called and made an appointment for two days later. I gave all of my information when I called, as well as registered prior to the appointment. When I arrived I checked in, paid my co- payment and went on the speak with the nurse and fill him in on the entire hospital experience. We were going over all of the medications they sent me home with when the receptionist abruptly walked in and said they cannot see me. I presented them with the written release papers from the hospital clearly stating to Follow up with that exact doctor within three days. She said no, I was not being seen. Not only was I half way through my visit already, I had waited two days for the appointment and it is now Thursday, Leaving me without medical care lined up. I asked if I could become a self pay patient and still keep the appointment. I desperately needed the medical care, sooner than later. The answer was NO. While I was in shock that they were turning me away at that point of the visit. It was how they handled this entire situation that blindsided me. A professional office would have taken responsibility for their error and offered assistance. Not screamed that I wasn't being seen, and asked to leave. This office is clearly NOT about the health of the patient. I left the office with no alternative medical appointment and ZERO support.. STEER CLEAR! VERY UNPROFESSIONAL.

Excellent experience. Dr. Patel truly cares for his patients. He is one of my favorite doctors. He is very easy to talk with. He listens and he makes recommendations when need.

Dr Patel office staff is the greatest. Wait time is to the minimum. Friendly and always smiling. They make me feel comfortable. Dr. Patel has been my doctor for 20 years and he is like family to me! He truly cares about his patients!

I had a first visit and they met my issues and needs

If you are in need of an excellent, compassionate Gastroenterologist, I highly recommend Mihir Patel, M.D. at the Center For Digestive Care (Gastro Florida) in St. Petersburg. My Primary Care Physician referred me to the Center For Digestive Care for work up of a serious G.I. problem. Dr. Patel then performed my colonoscopy and ordered additional work up. He quickly confirmed the diagnosis of my GI problem which requires long-term medication treatment and periodic follow-up with the Gastroenterologist. Throughout this process, Dr. Patel and his office staff have been super kind, helpful and reassuring. Dr. Patel was even so kind to loan me his personal copy of a book recommending strategies to better cope with my G.I. problem. I also highly recommend the endoscopy center and the I.V. infusion facility that Dr. Patel used in my care.

The front office staff was so nice and friendly the moment I walked in where I didn't even wait for my appointment. They were right on time. Dr. Patel explained my medical situation clearly and thoroughly and made me feel encouraged that I can make positive changes. I look forward to him being my doctor going forward.

This doctor listens to you and explains everything, making sure you understand. Trust him so much sending my husband to him now.

Dr Patel has been my physician for many years and is always personable, patient and thorough. My questions regarding medications and procedures are answered clearly and I have never felt rushed during office visits. I would highly recommend Dr Patel.

My 1st visit was for GI issues. I felt very rushed & felt as though he wasn't listening to what was going on. His response was to not consume lactose & schedule a colonoscopy. Had the colonoscopy on 6/2/23 and after the procedure he came to me and said "All is well, we didn't find anything." I said then "What is causing my left sided pain & loose bowels? "His response was "Just add more fiber to your diet & no lactose." I've never had an issue with Lactose in my 52 yrs. I dont drink milk, I only eat greek yogurt & cheese on occasion. I already eat a lot of the fiber foods on the list they gave me upon discharge on 6/2/23. My diet consists of lean meats, veggies & fruits: No fried foods, no processed food.I feel at this point I need a second opinion. His bedside manner is rushed & I didn't feel like he was listening to me or my GI issues/concerns. Still having GI issues as I type this so nothing is resolved. I will be getting a referral to another GI Dr. who hopefully can help me.

Colonoscopy and followup. Helpful staff. I had to reschedule, and waited a few months for the procedure. No one likes this procedure. Dr Patel, his staff and the facilities were great.
