My husband and I have seen Dr. Beckerman several times for epidurals. We not only value his expertise but appreciate his humor and outstanding staff. My pain is gone. Dr. Beckerman is still working with my husband.

Dr. Beckerman explained EVERYTHING to me in detail. The day of my epidural I felt completely confident I had made the correct choice. The prodedure was very tolerable without anesthesia, and I felt quite wonderful immediately afterwards. Dr. Beckerman has a straight forward aproach and will do his best to help you to be pain free. I am quite happy that our paths crossed and would reach out immediately if my situation were to deteriorate.

Dr. Beckerman treated me with dignity and understanding and listened to what I had to say. Unlike other pain management doctors, he never treated me like I was a drug addict. I have been his patient for several years, and I am very sorry that he is no longer at Skokie Hospital; it is a loss for all of his patients. I hope that he and his family are safe and well.

I love Dr. Beckerman! He is direct, honest and doesn't mince words, which I appreciate--he wants to get you out of pain, which is why you're there in the first place. He has a very stoic demeanor, but has a good sense of humor and nice bedside manner once you get to know him. I see Dr. B for nerve blocks/anesthesia in the base of my skull/neck for occipital neuralgia and he was up-front about possibly requiring more intensive injections or needing them on a regular basis. Having injections in your skull and neck is an extremely scary idea and from day one felt comfortable with him and his level of expertise and knowledge.

I’ve been Dr. Beckerman’s patient for approximately two to three years. He surgically implanted the Cervical Spine Stimulator as I have been in pain since having disc surgery in 2014. I discovered him through my neurologist who said he was the best pain management doctor she knew, and I am grateful that he is part of my team; I believe he will be involved in my care for some time. I trust him and the decisions he makes on my behalf. He does work towards my total care and to eliminate that pain that is, at times, very difficult for me to get through my day. He is an excellent doctor and I feel as if I am in great hands.

Dr. Beckerman has helped me immensely with a nerve issue concentrated in my upper right thigh. He was empathetic, quick to diagnose the problem and even quicker to help rectify it. It has been a pleasure to work with an individual who is not only an excellent Doctor, but also an insightful and compassionate person. Highly recommend Dr. Beckerman if you have a pain related medical issue.

Outstanding diagnostic talent, Outstanding skills as he has been my anesthesiologist for 10 bilateral hip surgeries. He has been my pain doctor for MANY years and has controlled my chronic pain with minimal to no side effects. He is also an empathic Dr., and has a very quick ability to problem solve. Being a retired professional myself, it’s easy to see these great traits in a Dr., and those looking for someone to be treated with as many “tools” as possible to treat them, Dr Beckerman is your man!

Dr. Beckerman explained exactly what my procedure would involve. He is very professional and takes the time to listen. He gave me my very first epidural for severe back pain (with sedation). Dr. Beckerman knew exactly where to inject the epidural and in a matter of only 2 days I felt instant relief -- no more pain! I highly recommend him!

I am grateful having Dr. Beckerman on my medical team! We met Aug. 31 2017, at my second SPINAL SURGERY. He’s an amazing physician with a kind temperament, diagnostic & astute medical expertise for MRI’s, procedures, surgeries & followup care. LIVING with chronic back pain from an assault Dec. 2007 for TEN YEARS of MRI’s, EPIDURALS, RADIO-FREQUENCY ABLATION, OPIOD ADDICTION + a walker or cane to barely walking. Many doctors & hospitalizations with more HOSPITALS & physical therapists, neurologists, anesthesiologists & still no relief, then I chose to wean off the PILLS! When I met Dr. Beckerman he listened with compassion, understanding & guided me with his expertise. He decided the anesthesia & post surgery care WITH ME explaining everything carefully. With spinal fluid leakage & POST OPIOD HISTORY he has kept me OPIOD FREE, first post surgical pain control now 2 years later I still see him . He’s a great diagnostician & available when needed. I am pain free.

I have been a patient of Dr. Beckerman's for 3 years. I was in a wheelchair when we met. I travel from Phoenix to see him specifically for chronic pain. I had spent years seeing countless doctors before him that put me through long term agonizing procedures and expensive pharmaceuticals without resolve. He has resoundingly helped me and worked as a team with me to improve my pain. We have found different nerve blocks and ablation to be successful for my chronic pain. This is a doctor who truly cares about his patients. His approach is direct and honest which I appreciate because I take a pro active position in my care. I literally spent my days in bed and was severely depressed from the daily pain. I am now an active time person again since my pain is reduced. I can't thank him enough for helping me.

very sad as dr. beckerman was referred by a physician whom i respect so i went into my appointment with high expectations. however, my expectations were soon shattered. dr. beckerman spent very little time examining my back and suggested injections. found out soon after the visit that i had muscles spasms in the back/rib area which were not diagnosed by dr. beckerman. he lacked compassion regarding pain and his attitude was that of arrogance and distance as he barely said "hello or goodbye".
