Dr. Mihaela Stoica, MD

Dr. Stoica is very professional, but also very kind and genuine. She will listen to what you have to say and she will try and help wherever she can. She has a good heart and cares for her patients!

My experience with Dr. Stoica was mentally damaging. When my medication was not working as expected, Dr. Stoica told me that my depression was worsening and often became defensive when I suggested comorbidities. Following terminating care with Dr. Stoica, it was confirmed that I have severe OCD and ADHD, and the medication components were hazardous based on a genetic test panel.

Dr. Stoica is a highly skilled and compassionate psychiatrist who has greatly helped me in addressing my mental health. Her warm and empathetic approach, expertise in medication management, and dedication to helping her patients make her an exceptional psychiatrist. I highly recommend her.

DR S is a great psychiatrist. She is very knowledgeable and empathetic. We have a great experience and we love her professional office staff. Will continue to see her.

We moved for out of state and made an appt with Dr Stoica months before our move. We needed the appt for continued care since our other dr can not practice in Texas. She made us reschedule twice , because she had decided to block time off. The appt we were originally supposed to have in July was now going to have to be at the end of September at the earliest. Who is to say that that one won’t be rescheduled right before the appointment as well. They said there was nothing they could do. What a very unprofessional way to take care of patients. I don’t want anyone to have to go through what we have to.

Dr Stoica is great! She is very attentive and she is a good listener.

I will star out with “Dr. Stoica was God sent to me” I have seen many other doctors since I was 23 year old and have never felt as good as I do now. (I am 42) I finally feel stable. Former doctors had me on medication for years that I should have only been on for a couple of months. Due to that I am very forgetful. Dr. Stoica help me to stop taking that medication.. but unfortunately the side effects are permanent. (I won’t get any worse) My experience with Dr. Stoica has been great.

Worst experience ever with a doctor. Showed up for my 2nd appt with her on time and she takes the patient that arrived 5 minslater than me and 30 mins later for her appt. so I had to leave and call to reschedule. I called and left a message but no call back. Today I received a letter in the mail saying she is withdrawing as my doctor. Unbelievable!

Dr. Stoica is very knowledgeable and honest. She has been amazing with my daughter!

While we do like Dr. Stoica, our interaction with their office has left me wanting to find another psychiatrist. They do NOT answer their phones and are not good at returning calls, which can be frustrating when dealing with medications. Then, I was charged a $100 fee when canceling an appointment due to illness.

I took my teen daughter to see Dr. Stoica & I was very pleased. My daughter liked her fine too. Dr. Stoica actually called my daughter back without introducing herself to me first & that bothered me some. She spent a fair amount of time with my child alone & a good amount of time with the both of us. I appreciated Dr. Stoica's emphasis on cognitive behavioral therapy & her straight-forwardness.

At my first, new patient appointment with Dr. Stoica, she talked condescendingly to me, and I also got the feeling that she didn't respect me or my career choice. I won't be returning to Dr. Stoica. I prefer a physician who speaks positively and is optimistic. Also, it is IMPOSSIBLE to get in contact with ANYONE at Thorntree Psychiatric. Very frustrating.

Dr. Stoica is caring and a careful listener. She is dedicated to helping you overcome specific obstacles and works with you to make sure you are improving. She is calm and kind and has really helped me overcome my anxiety.
