Irresponsible office staff
Horrible experience with office staff. It took 3 weeks and a dozen phone calls to change a surgery appointment. Then office submitted authorization late, and they could not schedule surgery because authorization was approved 3 days prior to surgery. I had to call my insurance to figure out what was happening; and even with authorization cleared, they refused to schedule surgery based on "not enough time to review authorization". They had 2 1/2 months to take care of authorization and they dropped the ball. I got stuck with requesting day off from work and as well as person who would drive me to appointment.

Dr Unzueta is an excellent doctor! Great at what he does and great with people... he truly cares. He's helped my mom with her glaucoma issues. I highly recommend him. Thanks so much Dr. Unzueta!

Dr. Unzueta is a fantastic doctor. He is very kind, compassionate and caring. His office staff is friendly and helpful. I would recommend Dr. Unzueta wholeheartedly. His Lakewood office is a very nice facility.

My mother had a procedure done and will be going again to have another surgery for her other eye and she was very happy with his service - staff was friendly and attentive to her needs and because of this I have recommended him to a couple of my friends who are planning to have corrective surgeries
