Does not listen
Agree with others. Her bedside manner is not compassionate, friendly or even inclusive of interactive listening. She expresses her point of view but cuts you off if you have questions or are interested in expressing your concerns. She conducted an at home sleep study with me. The equipment was faulty, triggering alarms saying I was not breathing while I was getting ready for bed and after I woke up and was fully breathing. The equipment alarm went off so much that I could not even fall asleep. When I came back to her office and advised her as such, she refused a second study and said the results were proof enough of what I needed. Wish my insurance would cover a different doctor.

Better Sleep Starts Now
I had been living with insomnia for a number of years and did not know how to fix this condition. My PCP recommended that I see Dr. Primeau, a doctor specializing in sleep disorders. During my initial consultation, she asked me a series of questions to understand my sleep habits. When I informed her that I did not want to take any medication to assist with sleep and preferred a more natural solution, she was very pleased with my desire to avoid medication. She happily informed me about a 6-weeks cognitive behavioral therapy program that she offers to patients who desire a more natural method. I am so glad that I took that course! Not only did I gain a wealth of knowledge about circadian rhythms, sleep environments, and sleep inducing habits but I also started to sleep better! She was also the first doctor who informed me that the one size fits all of “8 hours of sleep” is not true for everyone and is certainly not true for me. She helped me discover a tailored sleep plan. Thank you!

I completed the 6 week insomnia class that Dr. Primeau offers and it was incredible. I can't believe how much she helped me and the others in the group. It wasn't easy to shift my patterns, but she's an excellent teacher and incredibly kind and patient. I learned a ton and have a great sleep routine now. I no longer worry about sleeping which feels great. I know what to expect and how sleep works. So sleep has become a "non-issue" for me. I can trust I'll do it and if there's a day where I'm out late or had caffeine or some wine late or whatever, I know I'll get back to my routine and things will be fine. It's a huge relief ... truly life changing. Thank you Dr. Primeau. So grateful for your help.

Exceptional charismatic doctor, who is focused on actually helping the patient to get off sleep meds and learn to sleep well naturally by training the brain. So if you really want to get back your healthy sleep, like I did, she is the one. Ask about the group sleep therapy course. Someone who wants the easy way that doesn't do any good in the long run, should go somewhere else.

Extremely poor bedside manner, was very abrupt and dismissive of my concerns. Also, I don't think she spent enough time with me or providing strategies to overcome insomnia.

Poor bedside manner, quite rude to me. I was explaining my sleep problem to her, and it seemed like she had absolutely no empathy for my problems. She made dangerous assumptions.

Dr. Primeaux guided me in ending a decade of insomnia, diagnosed my Obstructive Sleep Apnea and has worked with me resulting in my compliant use of CPAP and resulting in dramatic reduction in my fatigue and increase of my energy. This has been a totally positive healthcare experience. She showed exceptional skill, patience and wisdom for a younger practitioner.
