Dr. Michelle Langlinais Flechas, MD

My son saw Dr. Flechas for 16 years and was never diagnosed with Celiac disease, despite exhibiting all the classic symptoms. She gave parenting advice, used her own children as examples, and referred us to her husband for counseling. She didn't listen or get down to the core of his issues. She never suggested tubes for his chronic ear infections. She never addressed his skin issues or chronic stomach aches. She chalked his anxiety and depression to being a "normal" situation. He never referred us to a specialist or did any lab work until I demanded it at age 16. He has permanent hearing loss and unrecoverable damage caused by years of a lack of diagnosis. Our nurse practitioner diagnosed him with Celiac on his first visit at age 18. We wasted years of time and money and almost lost him due to her lack of patience and thoroughness. She simply didn't listen or care. I pray no one else goes through what we did simply because you trust your pediatrician has your best interest.

I have used her for all three of my sons since the birth of my oldest. She’s always friendly, listens well, explains well, and answers all questions. Wait time is usually very short and her staff is amazing

Dr. Flechas has been my children's pediatrician for 15 years. She is the most thorough and professional doctor. But she is personal, caring, kind, witty and sympathetic as well. My kids love her and as parents, we know she truly cares about our kids.

I think it is important for patients to be able to discuss everything with their doctor without being judged. After my teen answered all of her questions honestly, she began to scorn me and my son. Dr. Fletchas had a very harsh attitude and was very unprofessional. If I want parenting advice, I can find that in any direction. The last thing I need is a healthcare professional passing along their personal parenting allegiance and masking it as healthcare advice. I would not recommend her.
