Dr. Michelle Covalt, MD

Covalt is horrible and practices poor hygiene when caring for patients. Prior to performing a pelvic exam on a patient that miscarried (at Northside Hospital Atlanta) she put on gloves to perform a pelvic exam and shortly afterwards, her phone dropped out her pocket. She says, "I dropped my cellphone!" Then Covalt proceeds to pick up her phone with the gloves on and performs the exam. Covalt touches the sterile swab with the gloved hand she retrieved her phone from the floor with and touches the patient in the area of interest. Covalt's bedside manner is subpar and she lacks compassion and professionalism. Prior to the exam she became irritated because she received a call. Covalt you should have not become a physician. You took an oath, if you cannot fulfill it, leave this profession. Human lives are on the line and your behavior and actions are unacceptable! May you reap what you sow.

Poor bedside manner. I was told I may have had a miscarriage, which obviously prompted multiple questions on my end. She seemed put off by all questioning and was condescending. Would not recommend

She was pleasant enough and seemed to be listening at first. I told her my grandmother had ovarian cancer and she started talking about cervical cancer. They are not the same. She was going on about cervical cancer not being hereditary. That's great but ovarian cancer is!!! I asked questions about the metformin she had prescribed 2 weeks before and she was like, you are not on it for insulin but PCOS. It's a medicine specifically for insulin. Yes, it is used for both diabetics and people with PCOS but it is still specifically for insulin. There were several other questions that she just would not really answer. Obviously she does not know what the hell she is talking about. I'm so mad. I have enough issues with my lady parts and I certainly don't need a doctor who contributes to them!

I don't even have words to tell how unpleasant the visit was. She showed not interest AT ALL. She received some test I had the Night bed form the hospital and she didn't bother to read. I do not trusted her, won't see her ever again and I DO NOT recommend any women to go see her.

My first appointment I was terrified that a new doctor would just ignore what I knew was best for my life. Instead she listened o everything I had to say, any concerns were discussed in detail and re was zero confusion. I appreciated her taking her time with my appointment and could not have found a better doctor!! I have absolutely no regrets and I'm so thankful I saw her!

Dr. Covalt is quick to prescribe medications without listening to my actual concerns. I had issues with scheduling and communication and ended up speaking with a patient representative to correct the situation. Dr. Covalt was rude and cold to me after learning that I had spoken with the patient representative. This practice is not patient centered and a very poor experience for me.

My last Dr appointment with her by blood pressure was high. When she came in she said the ma was having off readings all day but she didn't retest it. When I went it for my C-section a week later my baby no longer had a heart beat. I had to wait 3 hours for her to even come in and after I had my C-section she didn't even come to recovery. She had absolutely no bed side manner the whole experience. My following Dr appts the mas asked me how my baby was.... Insult to injury...
