She was more interested in talking about the content of my work (and mostly sharing her assumptions about it), than about my actual anxiety and depression or making sure my medication was at the right dosage. She also misspelled my name on my medication and then double booked me with another person, but claimed it was my fault. Completely unprofessional and did not make me feel like she saw me as an individual person or took my mental health concerns seriously.

I would not recommend her. She shares private information which she was explicitly told not to. That is against all etiquette and is totally unacceptable. Also, her treatment did not work, and she refused to listen and realize it's not working. She only made up lies that the parents are not giving their son the medication (which was a blatant lie. I as the parent would even wake my son up after he fell asleep if I forgot to give it to him). And then she only takes cash, she's trash.

Dr. Cervone is the best psychiatrist I've encountered in New York: smart, insightful, accessible, flexible, friendly, and responsive while still being practical about prioritizing a patient's needs (even if that patient tends to get off-track...). If she was covered by my new insurance, I'd be there.
