Dr. Michele Blackwell, MD

I started going to Dr Blackwell’s office in 2019. I never could see Dr Blackwell, so I saw Amanda (NP) twice to get established on hormones. I called to make an appointment today due to an urgent problem, but Amanda is no longer working there so I was going to make an appointment with Dr Blackwell. I asked if Dr Blackwell could call me before my appointment. I was told, Dr Blackwell could not call me, that I had to talk to the lady taking my call, who makes the appts. I told her I wasn’t comfortable with that, but I was told that’s how it works, and Dr Blackwell doesn’t have time to speak to/call patients. I told her then I need to find another doctor who will, which I just did. I have my appointment set with dr Choy with Methodist Clear Lake and I was also told I can communicate with Dr Choy through the patient portal any time.

Dr. Blackwell is an excellent surgeon, I had an outpatient hysterectomy in November and my recovery time was only 3 weeks. She is a wonderful doctor, she explained the procedure in detail beforehand, and completely set my mind at ease. She's changed my life for the better. I can't recommend her highly enough. Kind and caring office staff, as well.

If I could leave 0 stars, I would. I’ve been coming to this business for 7 years and haven’t had any complaints. However, once they moved locations, everything went downhill. Idk if they got new staff or management but this is ridiculous. I came in and gave a urine sample and called to check on it after I hadn’t received the results that week. They said they would call me when the results came in. 2 weeks later, still nothing. So I call to check on it. This time I was given an attitude as if I was annoying insisting that they would get back to me when they had them. Another 2 weeks go by and I can’t help myself to call. They decided to check with the lab this time and come to find out, they never tested the sample. And get this, they still charged me for it!!! On top of that, I came in for a problem I was having, Amanda said it was nothing and not to worry about it. I came back a month later as it had only got worse, and she said the same thing. Come back another month later, same prob

She is a great doctor but her office staff is some of the most unprofessional I have ever dealt with. The girl setting the appt messed things up from the start, I had to call the office 3 separate times to tell them I had not received the email and they needed to check it, they refused. Day of appt I was told I would not be seen because they could not access my med history. I was told well over a week ago they had it. I was blamed for their incompetence. Staff is some of the worse.

Absolutely life changing! Dr. Blackwell and her staff are truly amazing. When you check-in Cindi at the front is always so pleasant and caring. Super busy office which makes you feel good knowing everyone wants to be there. You feel like family when you are there. Dr. Blackwell's bedside manner is remarkable. She's brilliant and has changed my life completely..

Dr. Blackwell's staff is rude. They are unorganized and Dr. Blackwell does not care about her patients AT ALL! She will test you for hormones acting like she wants to help and then tell you the only resort she has for you is using the pellets.... which cost $2400.. she is only in this for money and does not care to help you. I wouldn't send my dog to this woman.

I have be seeing Dr Blackwell for years and she always takes time to understand how you're feeling and is truly concerned about your quality of life as you transition through the different phases of life. I recently started doing pellet hormone replacement therapy with Dr Blackwell and I highly recommend it for anyone 40 years and older. It has truly given me my life back. I have so much energy now and have no brain fog. Thank you Dr Blackwell for caring enough to explain it all to me.

Dr. Blackwell is the only OBGYN I've ever gone to, and since I first starting seeing her when I was 18-19, it's been around 10 years. My mother also goes to her. While the office staff/nurses aren't my absolute favorite, I've always appreciated how to the point Dr. Blackwell herself is. My only complaint is that she always seems like she's in a hurry, so you sometimes have to remind her about anything you wanted to talk about. Aside from that, she's great and makes you feel very at ease.

I got an appointment with Dr Blackwell for August 19 with her staff Destiny,I call d back on the August 16 and spoke with her staff Amy to make sure my appointment was secured but was told it was on August 9 has they don't accept patients on Fridays,I never got a reminder call or message indicating that,While trying to explain that to the staff she was soo rude and unprofessional.I know this has nothing to do with the doctor but her staffs.

I've been seeing Dr. Blackwell for over 16 years and its always a pleasure

She takes time, listens and understands patient concerns. She comes highly recommended from Hospital staff. She is knowledgeable and up to date on latest procedures.
