She’s been rude and cold in the past but this visit was the last straw. I went in for an annual physical and all she did was hand out referrals. She had no interest in listening to any concerns I had. She wouldn’t even tell me if my red eyes were cause by a cold or pink eye. She basically said to make another appointment if I was concerned about my eye. Also, I need to lose weight so I started WW. Instead of encouraging me, she told me what a horrible diet it is. She has such a condescending way of talking to you. Never again. I’m switching to a doctor who wants to build you up instead of cut you down. I walked out with a handful of referrals to doctors she passed me on to and questioning a diet plan that’s been working. Time to find a better doctor.

Top Notch
There are a lot of doctors out there to choose from. If you want someone to hold your hand and tell you what you want to hear, move on. If you want to cut to the chase and get the facts as to what needs to be done, Dr. Baltus is the one for you.

Unprofessional, medical biller
Avoid this person at all costs, they have a constant need for a power trip and are seriously lacking the skills that make a great practitioner.

Felt very uncomfortable with her approach for years, this visit was the final straw. She was so rude & demeaning & tried to make me feel like I was inconsiderate because I was sitting in her office after having had Covid with a mask that was fabric & not producing negative Covid test. I had Covid 2 weeks prior, but wanted her to check that my lungs were clear. She chastised me saying she didn’t know how I got an appointment & that I was putting her staff in danger. She told me my mask was useless - and that I needed to be wearing a N95. I told her I didn’t think they were readily available, she’s said “of course they are, & that any one could get them anywhere. She was so nasty & I’m angry at myself for letting her speak to me in this manner. Why would someone want to enter a field to help people and belittle them instead. She should be held accountable for her horrible behavior. Saw other reviews, clearly this awful Behavior is not unusual. Sorry it took me so many years to speak up

she is extremely uncompassionate and rude. she doesnt care about your problems, just getting paid for them. she flat out told me "well theres nothing i can do for you if you dont explain your problems" because i was crying about how much pain ive been in for the past few years and nobody could give me an answer.shes fine for a quick checkup but if theres something genuinely wrong with you, youre better off seeing a school nurse and getting better answers.

I don’t know why I dismissed her attitude for as long as I did. This goes far beyond a “bad beside manner”, she’s an unprofessional, condescending doctor. Before I could even finish my sentence she interrupted me and judged me for no reason, for a reoccurring issue that I’ve asked to be treated for for years now, and mocked me for the length of time I’ve had the issue as if I hadn’t gotten it checked out prior, by her! My first appointment with her postpartum, she pressured me to come up with a weight loss goal, and wouldn’t accept my answer of being uncomfortable to make one, due to a documented history of severe anorexia. She is cold, apathetic, and rushes appointments with no regard for her patients. Dismissing her attitude because she knows her facts isn’t worth it, trust me there are plenty of other doctors in this practice that know just as much as her and don’t blatantly disrespect the people keeping her in business. Save your time and money and find a different doctor!

Excellent Dr. Dr. Baltus takes a no-nonsense practical approach. If you like your opinions sugarcoated or want a doctor that will tell you what you want to hear, you should look elsewhere. If you want someone who is to the point, focused on your care and arriving at the best possible outcome, Dr. Baltus is your doctor.

well,I don't know how to start, very rude, unprofessional ,cold, she accused us of being late even though we were on time and we actually had to wait for her because she was LATE, when she walked in ,started body shaming my mom and asking me how much she weight even though she had these information in front of her. she went on to say that maybe my mom eats a lot. she has no respect for patients or their family members, worst bedside manners I have ever seen . we will never go back to her even if she is the only doctor left!!!!!!!!!!

When I first met her she seemed distant, which is actually just professional. As I have been to her more now she is very caring and takes time to detail and explain. I am a nurse practitioner and it is hard to find a provider you trust. She has me as a patient forever.

This Dr shows no care for new patients, she decided to cancel my appointment for being 10 min late , refused to see me even though the front office asked me to wait 15 min after arrived to tell me she wouldn’t see me while she was still in the office. I was stilled charged a copay and advised me to go to an urgent care, the nearest hospital (especially now during covid) or reschedule.

After receiving a vaccination for pneumonia, the next day I had Cellulitis, which can turn into MRSA. I called the office, a nurse prescribed an antibiotic. It’s 3 days and no one from her office has called to see how I’m doing...disgraceful. Plus, she made a mistake on my referrals and requested a macular degeneration test. I specifically told her I had one a month ago. I’m looking for a new doctor. If I could I’d give her no stars.

I have been going to Dr. Baltus since she started here. She is a very caring doctor. She takes time to listen to you and gets to the bottom of your problem. I have recommended her to many people who are very happy with her services. She even called me at the beginning of the Covid 19 Pandemic to make sure my husband and I were staying in and being safe. She told me to call or send her a message if we needed anything. I will continue to recommend her to anyone in need of a good doctor.

Dr. Baltus was cold from start to finish. The most apathetic human bring I have ever met. Thank you Huntington Medical Group for hiring her and helping me make my decision to not seek care from this individual again. As a nurse, I was appauled by her demeanor and flat affect as I vented about my issues. She simply ignored me and kept repeating "whats your fam history.. ..your history". Never again! Pray she finds a practice more suitable.

I have been having pain after I eat for a couple months now but haven't had the time to get to the doctor. I went to Dr. Baltus and she didn't ask about the details of my pain, where it was located, if certain foods hurt more than others. She was cold and rude when she found out I go to a private religious university instead of a state school. She made a comment about my relationship with my boyfriend that was uncalled for and mean. I will never be going back to her.

My son went to Dr. Baltus's Physician Assistant in January to have his ears cleaned with peroxide. This service was usually free as part of his physical when he went to the pediatrician. Dr. Baltus's office at the NYU Langone Medical Ctr. charged our insurance co. $1452 for this service. He only had his ears cleaned out with peroxide! After the insurance company dealt with the bill we're still being charged $909.30 out-of-pocket for this service. We're trying to fight it but they won't help.
