Avoid This Doctor! We've Filed On Her!
This doctor chose not to operate in an emergency situation that led to doctors & surgeons at the #1 hospital in the world questioning her logic. Instead, when presented with the emergency situation, Dr. Aizenberg referred the patient out to inpatient physical rehab first before she would consider surgery, to which the patient deteriorated to the point another specialist recommended we get the patient out & elsewhere. Note: Dr. Aizenberg had aleady delayed surgery for 1 month after being presented with the emergency situation. She then also ignored calls from the patient & staff at the rehab facility expressing dire concern over the patient's worsening condition. We later learned from the #1 hospital, Mayo Clinic, that Dr. Aizenberg's referral for inpatient physical rehab was COMPLETELY INCOMPETENT as it was asking the patient to do something they were COMPLETELY, PHYSICALLY INCAPABLE OF DOING WITHOUT SURGERY...AND WAS DETRIMENTAL TO THE PATIENT'S HEALTH & RISKED INJURY.

Regret We Had Her – Dec 06, 2022

My mom went to unmc with a glioma astrocytoma brain tumor. No one even told us it was cancer/ I had to google it. I know that my mom did not have much time left with us given the stage and I didn’t expect her to save my mom by any means. We had a biopsy done on a Thursday and she told us that my mom needed shunts because she has a lot of fluid build up. She scheduled the surgery for Monday because she had the weekend off. On Saturday they made my mom not eat for half of a day because they said there’s too much fluid and she needs surgery today- and then they didn’t do the surgery- then Sunday night her brain herniated and left her blind for the rest of her life- which was only about 8 months. If they would have done the surgery earlier my mom would have seen me get married, be pregnant and maybe even see her first grandchild. This doctor made my moms last months miserable. I could even tell she was pissed after the surgery. My mom also got cdiff at this hospital- pathetic.

Dr Aizenberg is treating my wife for brain cancer and she has been phenomenal! My wife was struck with this illness completely out of the blue and Dr Aizenberg has been regimental and determined while at the same time a calming and compassionate influence for my wife. We could have easily given up hope, but her attitude and professionalism have given us confidence at times when there has been doubt. We didn't request her to provide care, but we wouldn't want any other now and we highly recommend her.

In spite of whole body spasms that looked like vomiting, seizures, confusion, numbness, & paralysis for a previously walking & non paralyzed patient, this doctor delayed surgery so long that the patient developed bowel & bladder retention & progression of paralysis to all extremities. Her reason? The condition was not fatal. After the regular family doctor & nurse freaked at the patient's condition & the prescribed occupational therapist told us this was not normal & to get her to XYZ hospital. We did. XYZ hospital was mortified(literally used that word) at the "numerous mistakes" and did urgent surgery, to restore the patient's mobility & relieve suffering. They also found the patient's confusion was caused by a prescription they "hadn't written in over 25 years" due to that issue. This is a warning for patients, run, don't walk away from this doctor. Be leery of her "rehabilitation" before surgery, as you will have further nerve damage depending on your condition.
