Dr. Ziegele was very informative from the very beginning, through hip replacement surgery and even after. The personal touch of phone calls- to my husband when surgery was done, as well as 1 week after to me, was exceptional. Definitely shows that he is doctor who cares about his patients. Highly recommend!

Dr. Ziegele performed hip replacement on my 86 year old mother. The surgery was accomplished on schedule and the results were transforming. My mother went from having difficulty getting anywhere to moving like she did before there were any issues. Her pain was minimal and she’s very happy. Dr. Ziegele is the best!

He is more than a skilled surgeon who always took the time to make sure I was comfortable with this major decision & took time to listen & gave me the opportunity to ask plenty of questions. The entire team made me feel like I was a special patient & not just a person being “herded” in & out. Since I own a business I needed to be back on my feet quickly & my recovery exceeded all of my expectations. When someone tells me they need a total knee replacement surgery I quickly respond “What are you waiting for? Get it done & it’s not as rough as people tell you it will be.” And don’t forget to trust your care to Dr. Ziegele!

Dr. Zeigele is an amazing surgeon. I had a similar procedure 5 years ago and the experience is a night and day difference. Dr Ziegele is very knowledgeable, kind and very caring. After just moving here from Florida, he found that my 3 year old knee replacement was infected. He did a total knee revision, removing that implant and seeing me through a long period of clearing up the infection, and then giving me a new knee replacement. I was very apprehensive about having Total Hip Replacement surgery. Dr. Ziegele explained all aspects of the procedure and answered all my questions. His staff also was very kind and helpful. It was my first time meeting Dr Ziegele and it was a fantastic experience! He is super kind and considerate, he actually asked me to explain what was going on with my knees and then he looked at them and did a little exam, didn’t just view the images! He explains things very well and in detail!! And his staff was very friendly and professional also!!

For 5-6 months, my 88 year old mother had knee pain and what she thought was a “knocking knee.” Her mobility and quality of life were drastically declining. Dr. Ziegele figured out the issue was her hip and agreed to schedule her for surgery. Post op hip replacement, the noise and knee pain disappeared. Within 3 weeks, Mom was walking without a walker or cane. She attended church and returned to grocery shopping. One month out, she is going up and down stairs with ease, feeding her birds, attending concerts and driving to other social gatherings with joy. Dr. Ziegele was efficient and kind with thorough explanations and answers to questions. He was attentive to check in post op day 1 even though it was a Saturday. His ThedaCare team followed up at the three week appointment. Thanks to Dr Ziegele and his ThedaCare team, my fiercely independent mom is able to engage in a meaningful life and connection again.
