Wonderful care!
Recently hospitalized after Dr Veliuona performed a flexible sigmoidoscopy to find my ulcerative colitis was in a severe flare. He has been my doctor for almost 7 years. He has gone above and beyond to make sure I am comfortable and his staff is exceptional with their care as well. Being a healthcare provider myself I have no reservations in referring my own patients and family members to Dr Veliuona. You won’t find a better place to be treated for you GI issues!

I was hospitalized with severe abdominal pain, vomiting, diarrhea, bloody stool. I've been seeing my reg dr for gallbladder issues for over a month waiting to get a hida scan, when Dr. V told me my gallbladder and intestinal issues were two totally separate things and refused to discuss anything further about my gallbladder. I was treated for colitis, he explained sometimes 'it just happens'. He even told my husband while I was out for my colonoscopy, "she seems very fixated on her gallbladder doesn't she". Come to find out my gallbladder is overactive (a rare but possible disease-Hyperbiliary Kinesia), producing an output of bile at 96% when normal function is 30-80%...which means while I was on a clear liquid diet for a week, the massive output of bile could have wreaked havoc in my intestines causing colitis, causing pain, causing all my symptoms. But yet he insisted my gallbladder had NOTHING to do with my symptoms.
