Dr. Michael Somenek, MD

Dr. Somenek performed a rhinoplasty on me over two years ago. I can't put into words the damage he did. Just look at the attached photographs. Dr. Somenek called the nose a failure and suggested I try filler until I am mentally ready to have surgery again. I had a complication with the filler because there is now less blood in the tip. I went to the ER. After that, Dr. Somenek and his practice ghosted me.

Despite my 2 star rating, I have a lot of respect for Dr Somenek and he may be the right surgeon for you. His office staff is fantastic, he is very personable and always made time to see me pre and post surgery. I’m just disappointed in my rhinoplasty results even 4 years post op. My results are vastly different from what was planned, which would be totally fine if my nose looked good. My previously narrow nose is now wide towards the tip and bc it’s still large, my nose appears a bit bulbous. The imperceptible asymmetry in my nose became much more pronounced after surgery too. In discussing my results w Dr Somenek he stated that there are limitations to what surgery can do and what he could do to help was limited. Could another surgeon have done a better job with my nose? Idk but I hope so given my results.

Dr. Somenek listened to every single concern I had and sculpted a better, more refined version of my nose. He listened to everything I wanted and didn’t want and he delivered! He also did all of this aesthetic work while keeping the functionality in mind. I couldn’t be happier, I made the right decision by coming to this doctor. He does natural looking noses and is honest and direct in the consultation so you know what to expect. I also wanted to keep my bump and he told me I have the option but it’s likely that if i keep my bump, just because of psychology that I might regret it later. I listened to him and I am so happy, I 100% would be mad at myself if I kept my bump!! He fixed my tip so nicely too and really the entire nose!!

Did a fat transfer to my face and caused permanent damage. He doesn’t care about his patients at all.

I waited a long time to have rhinoplasty done and now that I'm complete, SO glad I did. Dr Somenek and his team made me feel so comfortable in during the entire process. No pressure, always very professional, and remarkably low stress too. Now my new face looks so much more natural to me than my previous face ever did. Very pleased with this experience and I highly recommend.

And throughout both the pre-op and post-op he has continued to be a caring, attentive listener. I am amazed at the results only 2 weeks post surgery! Dr. Somenek's staff is amazing - everything before the procedure (scheduling, consultations, follow-up, etc.) was easy and stress-free, and the staff has taken excellent precautions regarding COVID-19. Overall, everything was great, except for the actual end result of the surgery. My nose unfortunately looks worse post-surgery than it did pre-surgery. The only thing that was supposed to change from the front was my tip was to be lifted up, which I confirmed with the surgeon before the surgery. I didn’t want any width taken off the front as I was worried it would look too narrow/ pinched. Before the surgery the front of my nose was mostly fine (again I just wanted the tip lifted), but it has now taken on a sunken, pinched, and crooked appearance. The diagonal view also looks bad - bumpy, pinched - but the side profile is ok. However, the front profile looks terrible. Overall, would not recommend Dr. Somenek. I actually prefer how my nose looked pre-surgery than how it looks now.

Dr. Somenek is such a caring physician, he really listens to your areas of concern and adds input when necessary. His injection technique is extremely gentle, which says a lot when dealing with facial injections and treatment. I highly recommend him and his team.

My heavy eyelids have bothered me my entire life but I wasnt aware I could have this corrected so easily. Dr. Somenek was very informative about the procedure itself as well as the expected outcomes and gave me the time I needed to make a decision without any pressure. I felt confident with his abilities and staff throughout the entire process which also kept me at ease. I was a little anxious the day of the procedure but the nurses were so caring and compassionate and Dr. Someneks bedside manner is also very soothing and calming. My surgery and post op recovery was exactly as it was described it would be. I had no complications and everything has healed beautifully. I am so happy with the outcome and so grateful for Dr. Somenek and his amazing talent.

My experience with Dr. Somenek was amazing. I felt listened to and heard throughout each of my visits and that we were both on the same page in terms of what I wanted for my rhinoplasty results. The procedure went very smoothly, and I am beyond satisfied with my new nose!

Dr. Somenek is an extremely talented surgeon, and he is also incredibly kind, patient and thorough. From the initial consultation through post-op visits, I have been comfortable and confident in his skills and approach. I'm so excited about my Rhinoplasty and feel much improved self-confidence. where can i start ? dr somenek is the best surgeon , the nicest human and is very knowledgable. everything you want your plastic surgeon to be. i had been going to someone else for a long time but i knew it was time for a change. i came to dr somenek for a lip lift , its been a week and i could not be any happier. i wish i would have done it sooner, im amazed at the difference. the experience was beyond my expectations, i would be happy to answer any questions. i trust him 1000 percent plus his staff is wonderful. stefany made me feel completely at ease and is amazing - they are a great team. cant say enough about this practice - if you are thinking about doing anything - run - dont walk to them.

Dr. Somenek performed my revision rhinoplasty a year ago today and I could not be happier with my results. From the initial consultation (I had several with him), to be post-op care, he and his team left no stone unturned when it came to my care. I am truly grateful to have found him and I look forward to working with him again when the time comes. Added bonus; he also specializes in skincare!

I consulted Dr. Somenek inquiring about face tightening treatments available for the jowl area. He recommended a mini facelift under local anesthesia. I had the procedure and two weeks later I couldn't be happier! My result is natural and restored my jawline to where it was years ago. Highly recommend Dr Somenek and his wonderful staff- they will take good care of you!
