Dr. Michael Sobel, DO

Do not see this doctor! I first met him when he preformed my saline sonogram. He kept blaming our fertility issues on my age, when we already knew it was male factor infertility. He then wanted to cancel my retrieval a few days in, even though I had numerous follicles. Would not change me off a low dosage of the medications, when I know I respond better with the higher dose. The nurses on staff had to talk him into continuing; as they know the patients better than him! My boyfriend called the clinic to speak with him and he never returned the call, but made like he did. My retrieval was timed wrong and because of this all of my eggs were immature. He also told me that he could not access one ovary because my intestine 'was wrapped around my ovary'. This did not seem right to me as this has never been an issue before. I went to my OB who did her own US and testing and confirmed he was wrong. Seem to be a common theme he tells patients in the facebook group!

I had a decent experience during one of my procedures with this physician. I thought his bedside manner was decent however, the practice in its entirety has some serious issues and I would not recommend. Go to a specialized fertility center instead.

I had one of the most awkward, intrusive and inappropriate appointments with this man. I have never felt so uncomfortable during such an intimate / emotional appointment. The next visit with him, he barely said a word to me and again this made me feel awkward and almost ashamed. If you can, avoid him!

If I could give him 0 stars, I would. I wouldn't recommend Dr. Sobel or this practice for reproductive issues. He spent a lot of time with me during my first visit and I felt comfortable. He explained what our plan was going to be. However, I had to keep calling in order to receive my test results, he told me I needed a procedure to stop my symptoms entirely. So, I did it. After I woke from the procedure, I never saw him. I had to call the next day to follow up and was told they didn't end up doing what was expected and was given ridiculous options for moving forward. But was told he'd be happy to see me for fertility issues! no thanks. Needless to say, I went to get a second opinion. When calling to receive my medical records, I was told they would send them over that day, they were never sent. this place is nothing short of a nightmare. Avoid at all costs.

First time to see Dr. Sobel today very good so far, he explained very details, and very kind, i hope i will Pregnant soon ??

Please do not go to this doctor unless you are ready for physical and emotional pain in order to become a mom. I only needed a clomid pill but this doctor was pressurizing me for invasive testing and multiple blood tests. His office follows a set protocol and they don't provide individual attention. The office nurses and staff was rude to me because I did not want to follow their protocol.

There aren't enough words in the world to describe how wonderful the staff at Abington-Lancaster has been. Dr. Sobel, Robin and Diane made an what could have been an otherwise daunting and difficult process so much easier and navigable for us. At every turn they were there to answer any and every question we had. Now we are expecting not one but two babies in December!

Yes i will always love to recommend to him anyone because Dr.Sobel is a very good in doing his job. And i am %100 impressed with it as well.
