Dr. Michael Smith, MD

My experiences with both Dr. Smith and Jennifer Garrow have been excellent. Dr. Smith takes all the time necessary to make the patient feel comfortable and discusses the treatment in easy to understand terms. Jennifer Garrow is also a wonderful NP and has always been accessible and comforting. As some other reviewers have mentioned, it can be a little difficult to get appointments, but in my humble opinion, they are worth the wait, assuming it's not an emergency.After my stents were put in, I've had no issues and they've stayed on top of my health in a very positive way!I highly recommend Dr. Smith and Jennifer Garrow. They are a great team!

Dr Smith has been great for me. Though and caring he takes time to explain my condition and cares about my concerns. He can be a scheduling challenge and his NP Garrow left me confused, not impressed with her.

I really like Dr. Smith. He is an excellent Cardiologist but hard to get in to see sometimes. He does not answer his own Portal questions/concerns. I am not impressed with his NP, Garrow. She attempts to provide direction without actually reviewing your medical records in-depth. This alone creates undo stress.

Smartest, most caring cardiologist you could ever ask for. Could not recommend him higher. You would be in the best hands ever. Eternally grateful for him!

He is kind and friendly, and very smart. My dad likes him, and I liked him as well. It's just that it's so rare that my dad had seen him...he usually had to see the P.A., who was very good. My dad would have kept him as his Dr., if he could actually see him. And, it was almost impossible to get an appointment, unless it was a month or two away. Heart doctors s need to see their patients in person, and to actually call them back instead of having someone else call for them. The doctor himself is very nice and easy to talk with and does gave a good bedside manner..and is caring too. We have nothing against him, He's just never available.

Little to no response from him, his patient portal or staff. Zero follow up. No caring, just cold responses making me feel crazy, until I almost died. After barely surviving - still no follow up. As a young wife & mother fighting hard to live with this cardiac condition, I've never met a doctor with less compassion or caring....never.

Dr. Smith is a good doctor but like some other doctors at Scripps they are overbooked. It’s near impossible to get in when you want and even when there’s an emergency. They office staff make me feel like I’m being difficult when I just want to be seen. The office doesn’t not return calls promptly if at all. Many times I feel like a number and that they are too busy for me.

he never returns phone calls. he order tests ….. review test results Is a problem. he does not have time for his patients. very frustrated
