Knee surgery gone wrong
Everything he told me my knee would be much better after the surgery and in fact it was worse , went back to let them know , they told me nothing could be done.

Thank you the Hoover family.
Best ever. Waiting for appointment means he takes his time with every patient. My son had foot surgery after multiple 5th metatarsal fractures. He had a screw and plate put in. I had MCL tear. Was up and in going the next day with ice machine. Back to work in 2 weeks. Love him.

Had him do my left knee a few years ago and within weeks, I was back to normal…. I went back to him for my right knee and, this time, within days, I was out cutting the lawn…. Reassuringly direct about what to expect from pre- to post surgery… I have already recommended him to others my age (74) who want to maintain their level of activity…

Dr Shingles saved my knees! I know I need total replacement and I wanted to buy time until it worked for our schedule. His knowledge and advice are very much appreciated and the injections in both knees are working. I can sleep at night again without pain!

Dr. Shingles performed two operations on my daughter. Her first dislocation of her knee was at age 12 and we appreciated the variety of options he provided for treatment. Because of her age, he did not recommend a full reconstruction of her MPFL, since she was expected to continue growing and it would involve the bones around her knee. He, instead, performed a plication and it was an excellent repair that lasted three years. In December of this year, she had the MPFL reconstruction and we are very happy with the results. Within 5 months, she was back on the track and looking forward to a successful senior year of athletics. She appreciated that he listened to her and involved her in all the decisions. She had her "final" follow-up appointment" today and after seeing him for 4 years, it was a bittersweet day.

I’ve been to a few orthopedic surgeons in my day. Dr. Shingles is by far best ortho Doc I’ve seen. He has a very relaxed and engaging demeanor, instead of being in a hurry to move on to the next patient - like answering my questions with one hand on the door knob, trying to get out of the room. Dr Shingles gives you his undivided attention until all of your questions are answered. He repaired my right knee with great success, and set and casted my left hand. I was very happy with the results. Highly recommended.

Dr. Shingles is nothing but fantastic!! His highest regard is all about the patient and it's evident. He's clinically brilliant and it shows!! He's done 3 procedures on me and 5 on my son. If we didn't have the confidence in his abilities we would have chosen someone else a long time ago!!

I was referred to Dr. Shingles from the Primary care doctor. Dr. Shingles explained everything that was happening with my shoulder and how he was going to treat the pain. My shoulder pain is called " frozen shoulder". I received two injection and he was very patient and talked me thru the injection and what to expect, I was so scared of needles, but he insured me that it would be fine. The treatment went better than I could ever image. I would recommend Dr. Shingles to anyone that is having shoulder pain.

Dr Shingles is an exceptional surgeon! He performed shoulder surgery on my husband. It was a complicated case and Dr Shingles took the time to explain in detail what the surgery would entail. The surgery went very well and we are grateful to Dr Shingles for his caring demeanor and his surgery skills.

My son went to see Dr. Shingles to evaluate an elbow fracture. He went there once, they looked at a previous x-ray that we paid for, tested his elbow strength, sent him to physical therapy and charged us about $700. With a high deductible insurance, we had to pay from our pockets about $500. I called the office to request an explanation for the bill and they had no idea what the so called "treatment" was administered. It is what it is, just pay for it.

When I scheduled, I was told to expect a two hour appt w/the Doctor. He would read my MRI with me, discuss treatment options & answer every one of my questions. Instead, I waited 90+ minutes for an 8 minute appt. His "exam" which included 1 of the 3 standard ACL tear tests (which was performed incorrectly). 1 of the 4 issues the radiologist identified on my MRI was discussed (a report he didn't read). Dr. Shingles reviewed my MRI for about 30 seconds, dismissed all my concerns and sent me to PT.

I have been a patient of Dr. Shingles for years. He is very caring and getting his patients back to their everyday activites is a major goal of his. I quit seeing him for a few years because of the distance between my home and his office. Well I am in need of orthopedic care again and he is the only one I trust. Dr. Shingles experience, skills, personality, and knowledge are well worth the drive. He has always been available when I had complications after procedures. i highly recommend him.
