My experience 2022 so I changed medical organization. PAs take over care after 1st visit and both PAs were insensitive

I've been seen by Dr. Shabazian for 2 years. I've been very compliant with my pain meds, also received epidermals for back & hip pain. However, in trying to connect with him via patient portal, letters, phone calls, etc., I've not been able to connect with him. Right now, I'm in extreme pain of hip, knee & back pain. I'm always told to wait until my next appt. which is on August 26th, 2019. I can hardly walk on knee/hip, & extreme hip pain that keeps me up ALL night. It's a nightmare and I called asking for an epidural to get me through until my next appointment. It's always the same answer by the staff; you have to wait until your appointment, which is 20 days away. I don't think I can endure this excessive pain until then. He's always very nice and consoling, however, there's no way to get ahold of him, past the staff, and I believe I'll need to go to hospital if I don't hear back from him. I live on the 3rd floor, and just making stairs is almost IMPOSSIBLE. HELP!

The staff at this clinic are the worst, they are so rude and condescending. My wife's prescription ran out a week ago and the pharmacy sent multiple refill request but there has been no response from their office. When she called all they would tell her was that it's on the doctor's fax, nothing that she can do to help and that she would need to schedule an appointment. There wasn't any offer to even go and tell the doctor that he has an urgent fax, she just said " I did my part."

A very good, friendly, and caring doctor who actually explains everything. He is one of my first doctors who actually talks to me rather than typing on the computer as if I am not there. His approach to pain management is unlike my last pain doctor who only gave a prescriptions of pain killers and didn't bother to offer me other treatments. Dr shahbazian has been upfront an honest from the beginning. I have managed to take less pain medication and have better relief with his treatments.

I was referred to Dr Shahbazian for severe back pain and sciatic pain by my surgeon in newport beach. His office managed to get me in to see him very quickly for an epidural. After a really informative consultation, Dr Shahbazian gave me my epidural which has been a life changer. I could hardly get out of bed in the morning and use to struggle all day with pain and discomfort. I have my life back now and going to the gym again. He was very compassionate and did a great job. FIVE STARS :)

I finally found a caring doctor who listens, takes his time and treats me as a person and not as a number. He has helped reduce my pain drastically with his injections. I am doing more now than I have in the past 5 years. Him and his staff are truly amazing. Thanks to Dr Shahbazian, I have my life back.

I have now seen dr Shahbazian many times for my chronic pain condition that I have struggled with for years until I met him. He not only explained how to properly treat my condition but more importantly he offered non narcotic approaches in managing my pain. Other doctors were simply prescribing me lots of narcotics. I am so glad I met dr Shahbazian. He has changed my life. I have recommended several friends and family members to him already.
