Dr. Michael Scoma, MD

Dr. Scoma is a true medical investigator.Excellent patient relations with real follow through.Prior to needing any medical help, I was a military officer and a law enforcement officer. In my early 30s, I was in great shape, very active and athletic.Unfortunately, I developed a very complex neuro immune, connective tissue inflammatory disease, that took off after an uncertain infection in 2020 (presumably Covid or Lyme Disease, given my labs).Since that time, I have seen doctors from TN, FL, AL, NC, WV, and now NY. I have been let down and gaslit by more physicians than I can count.My patient advocate did some research and found Dr. Scoma for me. Given my past challenges with doctors and diagnostics, I wasn’t sure what to expect.After our first appointment, I realized I was getting a different calibre physician. He is unlike any other doctor, with comprehension, compassion, accessibility, and more. I cannot recommend him enough.

I cannot say enough incredible things about Dr. Scoma. I am chronically ill and have no guidance or help from any drs and unable to leave my home due to this. Dr. Scoma is always readily available for questions, concerns, crisis, or to even calm my fears. He is working diligently with me to get to the bottom of my medical issues. He never disregards or diminishes my symptoms, theories, or concerns. He works on this issue together as a team and keeps me involved in the process. If you have a complicated disease you can't get down to the root cause, and need access to a doctor who is compassionate and cares, Dr. Scoma is who you need to see! I wouldn't be surviving without him!

Left numerous messages with Dr. Scoma's office and never received a call back. While in the Winthrop hospital he was scheduled to come and rescheduled three times.

4AM Christmas eve I called Dr. Scoma, within 15 minutes he returned the called.
