Dr. Michael Schmidt, MD

Have been seeing this doctor for years, as others have stated he is very dismissive. Everything I've ever complained about, asked about, or dealt with has been, 'because you need to lose weight.' When I asked about medical assistance in weight loss I was told, 'just stop eating so much food.' Dr. Schmidt will humiliate you at any given chance. His front desk secretary is very rude and struggles to understand how to professionally answer the phone. His PA Natalie is sitting on a high horse under his instruction and I feel bad for the future of medicine because of it. They are in no way helpful to anyone, just rude and demeaning. After so many years of dealing with this, I'm finally done and going to find a new doctor. After losing more than 100 lb, he still talks about my weight being an issue.

Hard to decide what is the worst part of this practice - the doctors dismissive attitude, his failure to correctly diagnose my condition, or the rude girls working the desk. I continued to see this 'doctor' because his location was convenient, but paid for it with my health. For years the man had been misdiagnosing my condition, and it was not apparent until the condition exacerbated and I found myself needing emergency treatment. Aside from that he also has a surly, dismissive, uncompassionate manner, which is not helpful when one is in need of healthcare.Perhaps even more unpleasant is the rude women at the front desk. I had to walk-in one afternoon, and the woman asked, 'What do you want?' Not, 'How can I help you', or 'What can we do for you', as a polite considerate person might. The place looked empty and the TV was blaring, so I asked if the doctor was in. She replied in an even more rude fashion with 'WHAT! DO! YOU! WANT! Please avoid this practice if you value your health.

Dr. Scmidt is very thorough and takes time to talk with his patients.

I have been seeing this Dr for over three years and have never had an issue with the doctor or staff. Appointments go like clockwork - efficient, informative and thorough.

Dr. Michael Schmidt grabbed me by my buttocks, turned me around and pushed me over the room bed and kept repeating bend over, bend over while smirking. There was three witnesses. Two girls working their clinicals and my fiance. Now the office is trying to illegally bill me. Evil people.

I would give no stars for Dr. Michael Schmidt but his staff definitely deserve 5 stars as they were most helpful, polite and kind. Was extremely disappointed in my first/last visit to Dr. Michael Schmidt. Not only did he have not bedside manners, never introduced himself and basically starred at his computer screen for most of the appointment, but he was also insulting, condescending and I felt very discriminated against as he actually asked me out loud while in the middle of conversation what my education level is. Regarding my medical evaluation, I don't feel Dr. Michael Schmidt took any of my health concerns seriously, especially when it comes to Ehlers Danlos Syndrome. He stated I didn't have what I know genetically I have since my arms weren't "short" enough. No Beighton scale, other bloodwork or anything... He is my primary doctor and I could not ask for more. He is thorough, explains everything well and does not mince words, which I like. His bedside manner has a lot to be desired but at all times he is looking out for your welfare of which I appreciate every day. He says it like it is. This is what I want in a doctor

Not the first time I've had a problem with this doctor, who really seems like he'd rather be doing something else with his life. Rushes through your appoint and never explains much...and that's the best part of his practice. The women who run the front desk are just horrible people; rude, ill-tempered, uncaring. Not at all what a person needs when they are concerned about their health. If these girl don't their job or the people they need to deal with then they should seek another job. Just an awful practice. Go elsewhere.

But can’t very nasty , staff any longer seems as though he lost many long time patients as his policies ( if they are ) who knows maintenance blood pressure medication that I’ve been taking for yeeears I have to have a appt every 4 months to get script ! over 20 years unless there was an issue I had a year of refills my insurance allowed 90 day scripts! my insurance says only require at my yearly checkup that appt it’s 100% covered by my health insurance ,the office declined refill for my BLOOD PRESSURE MEDICATION ! called the office ( took several days to get them to answer phone ) told Ihave to do a tele doc appt to get my meds ! appt scheduled 4 days from then at 10:15 am I’m readyface to face with doc ,not til 11 I get a msg from his office to sign in , I do and had to sit phone in hand waiting to start for 15 minutes .finally up comes his least favorite employee , telling me who she is n that doc had to step out , appt with who I ask :)

Never had a problem with the Doctor or the Staff, been going to him for 4 years now.....when I first came into the office I was having facial pain which come to find out it was related to a heart issue..........Dr. Schmidt sent me to the hospital by ambulance where 2 stents had to been implanted. The doctor saved my life.....I also work in a doctor's office and all doctors collect the copay before you see the Doctor.....Kudos to Dr. Schmidt and his staff..................

Dr. Schmidt is a good doctor but his employee Lisa is very rude and uncaring.

Im sorry had to leave this office...love the doctor...but dont the nasty girls that work there...had me ins company call them and they told me how nasty they were. Been going to him for 15 years...and they had attitudes back then.

He has been my personal Doctor for over 30 years. I still like and trust him. The current staff could be little more compassionate but like the doc

I had very little waiting time. staff was very professional. Dr. Schmidt very thorough,knowledgeable, understanding, and caring.. highly recommend him

STAFF IS HORRIBLE. They only care about him getting paid. That is what they told me on the phone when I tried to schedule a doctor appointment today. This doctor is in network and was referred to me through my insurance company. And the claim would be paid through my insurance. SHE WOULD NOT EVEN SCHEDULE THE APPT after I told her I was having chest pains and needed to see a doctor. I am not from FLORIDA and this is the WORST treatment I EVER received. I would not recommend.

Dr Schmidt was great. He really listens and he explains thins clearly. He resolved my issues (after 2 other doctors had not)! His office staff is not helpful and has attitude.

Excellent Staff! I was in and out the office within the hour. Dr. Schmidt is great doctor, been a patient for over 10 years. Highly recommend his office.
