I have been with Dr. Schaeffer for 19 years and have always felt fortunate to have him as primary care doctor. Dr. Schaeffer actually listens to his patients and takes the time to answer questions. He makes patients a partner in their own healthcare decisions and is willing to guide without dismissing the patient's ideas outright. Furthermore he has a good sense of knowing when he has addressed an issue as far as he can go, and help from a different specialist is needed. Besides his excellent healthcare, Dr. Schaeffer is always full of energy and visits always start with a smile.

I went on Beaumont's website to schedule an appointment with Dr. Schaeffer as a new patient. Right on the website it shows that he is 'Accepting New Patients' - I've had my appointment for almost 2 weeks and they call me the day before cancelling saying that he is not accepting new patients. Absolutely unacceptable.

No issues with Dr. He is great. But the front office staff not friendly and forget about calling to talk to them. You will be on wait with the automated Beumont messages and promos for ever on the phone.

Dr. Schaeffer is amazing! The first time I went to see him I was ill and he was able to see me the same day. I had to wait about 10 minutes for him and he apologized for keeping me waiting. The staff are very nice and they value your time. I absolutely love him! I highly recommend him.

Well, I still have to pinch myself, I got so lucky with my Doc Schaeffer. Even when I was in ER and I was asked who was my PCP, when they heard who he was, they were all like "thumbs up". One of my friends works at his Canton office, and when she heard I was with Schaeffer, she was like "lucky you, he's the best here". He follows up and gives house calls, like in the good ol' days, when Doctors cared and it wasnt just an "industry". He knows all about you, cares and follows up.
