Horrible Bed-side Manner
Seems more caught up in the frustration with patients having the audacity to look up their symptoms on the inet and ask him about it than he does about listening to what the patient is asking him about. I get it. You're a gifted doctor and know more, but he needs to keep his frustrations about that to himself and show more sympathy towards a patient who is telling you that his body just doesn't feel the way it should, and try to offer at least SOME help. Was very disappointed in his bed-side manner. Especially when he said to me, 'Look I am very busy, and have other patients to see, here's the number to a specialist.' Thanks Doc. I really feel like you care. NOT!

Horrible Doctor (Treats Patients as ATMs)
This doctor does not have a deep understanding of medicine or any empathy towards patients. He only cares about money and tries to overcharge patients. He treats them as ATM machines. He intentionally miscoded my visit (not matching the service he provided) so that I would get charged more. In order to make it look like a valid charge in the system he added notes to my physical appointment that 'The patient came in feeling sick', even though I wasn't sick and my blood work came back perfect. He also doesn't prescribe your medicine and keeps on asking you to come back to charge you more. The reason he is still in practice because his patients are the elderly that live in the area. They don't understand what he is doing and he scams them. He thrives on their trust and overcharges them. You are better off finding a decent doctor. Optum is bad enough, Rizzi is horrifyingly bad.

Dr. Rizzi has been my PCP for a few years now. I no longer live near his location, but continue to go out of my way (over an hour) to see him as my PCP because he is so great. He never rushes the appointment and always answers all of my many questions to their fullest while making sure I understand him and his explanations. He is very attentive, caring, and knowledgeable. I would recommend him to all of my family and friends.

. My father is 83 and was discharged from the hospital mid Sept after a sudden on set of dementia. Discharge indicated PCP and Neurologist visit in order to obtain new meds. 1) Would not see him before Nov. and would not fill any meds for him 2) would not do anything to get him in to neurologist prior to END of Nov despite the urgent need as recommended by hospital 3) staff was so rude, told me to go back to ER 4) Finally got appt, arrived 10 min late and they refused to see him, said no time!

Was diagnosed w type 2 diabetes by Dr Rizzi. Was prescribed Metformin and then glipizide when blood sugars didn't go down. Was never told to check my own blood sugars, and now 6 months later still have blood sugars out of control. Have decided to go to a specialist which I wish I had done from the beginning.

Misdiagnosed with type 2 diabetes. He looked only at basic glucose levels and decided I had type 2 diabetes and prescribed metformin. I was 22 years old and got very sick. Turned out I had type 1 (an autoimmune disease) which requires insulin injections and not metformin. they didn't perform antibody tests to find out what type of diabetes I had and didn't recommend testing blood sugar. Ended up going to Weil Cornell hospital in NYC. They had doctors that know about diabetes and saved my life.

This physician's staff stood around the waiting room, joking, while I waited ONE HOUR to see the doctor. Reprehensible. And, after 62 minutes, I simply left. Is this any way to treat a patient??
