I fell pregnant on birth control because this doctor neglected to mention side effects of a medication he prescribed. THEN, he decided to vocally judge me for choosing to have an abortion. He made his personal emotions very clear and told me his only concern was a healthy baby. This man should not be a doctor and his practice completely ignored my message about this.

Dr. Raida is a nice doctor and is interactive as far as calling you back and working with you to find the right medication, he doesn't just throw them at you. The downside is, at times I feel when I am talking to him that he isn't fully listening, he can seem bored or a bit distracted. Last time I was there, he hit the button and looked at his phone maybe to check the time? But there was a clock on the wall. The biggest problem is that his job is to diagnose and treat, but I got the impression that he doesn't want to diagnose because he calls it a "label" but it's not a label, it's a dianosess. Mental health is just as valid as physical health and people need to know what's wrong so they can accurately treat it. I felt dismissed.

Doctor Raida is generally an empathetic, friendly and capable psychiatrist. He's not a life-changing provider like some of the psychiatrists and psychotherapists I have worked with, but I would absolutely trust him and recommend him to anyone seeking help with the medication side of treatment for mood disorders. He can be a little hard to get in touch with at times, but that's pretty par for the course, and he's better than some doctors I've worked with.
