Dr. Michael Pikos, DDS

I can’t recommend Dr. Michael A. Pikos and all his staff at Coastal Jaw Surgery highly enough. Let me put it this way – have you ever wanted to hug a dentist? Not only does Dr. Pikos give incredibly awesome hugs, he’s the sweetest, most caring and sincere, and most highly qualified and experienced jaw surgeon you could possibly want. He had to perform 2 surgeries on me, and somehow managed to make me feel confident and safe throughout. Dr. Pikos works closely with Dr. James Minici at Seven Springs Dental Excellence in New Port Richey and has him do the actual “crowns” that attach to the implants he installs. All of the above about Dr. Pikos is ditto for Dr. Minici. He built on the brilliant work of Dr. Pikos and gave me my smile back and my ability to eat normally again, and then he went above and beyond to restore my bite where a previous dentist had ruined it. And Dr. Minici’s assistant Marie is the best! I enjoyed her company in addition to all her help. Thanks & HUGS to you ALL!

Dr. Pikos has operated on me and my friend for implants and there is no one that could’ve done any better. I live in Maine now and I have been to three different dentists and everyone of them knows about Dr. Pikos or has gone to his school to learn how to do this procedure and they all tell me that Dr. Pikos does surgery that no other dentist can do. In addition, Dr. Pikos is the nicest man that you will ever meet and makes the patient feel very very comfortable. I could not recommend him any higher because he is the high as you go. In my opinion Dr. Pikos is the best oral surgeon there is. I had a previous implant by a dentist that destroyed the area after he removed a horribly ugly implant he had done. Dr. Pikos resued me and I now have my smile back. It was a long process and he was very attentive and patient. He took the time needed for success. If considering an implant only use the BEST!

This review is based in several encounters with Dr. Pikos, a many months long process of having my mouth completely restored with dental implants. Dr. Pikos’ extreme attention to detail and his insistence in use best practices, likely heads the list of the many accolades I give this Surgeon and it is reflected throughout his entire practice, Coastal Jaw Surgery. I have received caring and best jn class care throughout my implant process, there were some twists and minor complications that needed to be addresses, stretching my recovery time a bit. In all cases, Dr. Pikos and his staff remained calm, and fully explained the process of what needed to done for optimal outcomes. Importantly, Dr. Pikos really cares about his patients and is very empathetic as he delivers needed care. I cannot recommend this professional and his entire staff enough!!

Dr Pikos is very caring and very good at what he does. I would recommend him to anyone thinking of having implants. He takes the time to keep you fully informed as to what is going on and called me after my oral surgery to make sure I was doing ok! Office staff in Palm Harbor were very well trained and also very pleasant. I would go to him again if I needed more implants.
