Confident, Patient, and Reassuring
I have been seeing Dr. Pietak for quite some time now based on his excellent reviews as a neurologist. He has walked me through every concern or probably repetitive question and always makes the time and patience for more, if necessary. I am confident in his abilities and trust him 100%.

Fairly new patient though he has good bedside manner and no doubt he knows his area of specialty, communication is very poor and takes several days to even received a response from the test results and I am usually the one having the initiate the message. I was told from first visit by him it would be 5 months before I could get a follow up appointment with him in person. When you are trying to figure out a concerning problem that is worsening and going through all sorts of test and MRI I wish he had time to be more responsive. Maybe Duke needs to have more Neurologists on staff

×Post a ResponseAre you Dr. Pietak?
Dr. Pietak is absolutely the least patient-care centered doctor I have ever met. He rarely looks up from the screen to talk to you, is constantly in a hurry, made me feel like a chart number not a person, and made me feel like I was "faking" it. Such a horrible experience after having to wait over 8 weeks for an appointment. He then said he wanted to see me back in 6 weeks, but the next available appointment was another 8+ weeks away.
