Use one of the other hand surgeons!!!!!
I live 2 hours away and ended up seeing him 4x. Surgery went well. The trigger finger was worse which can happen. I asked him why and he replied “I don’t know”. Blew me off. He spends SECONDS with you post surgery, and doesn’t answer a direct question. Plus it’s difficult to ask him questions cuz he’s so quick like he’s avoiding giving a honest answer. Wouldn’t give me a picture of the X-ray on final visit. I’m sorry I chose him. I wouldn’t go back for anything!

Fantastic doc!
I was working in my garage and like an idiot, cut myself just above the top knuckle of my index finger. I also cut the tendon, so I required surgery to reconnect it, otherwise I wouldn’t be able to raise my finger. It was a very small area, kind of a microsurgery, I’m guessing. Dr. Pannunzio reattached them without any problem at all, I was amazed. The surgery wound healed right away, and I was back to normal much quicker than I was expecting. I really enjoyed his engagement, he’s funny and enjoys his patients and work. Couldn’t be happier with him and the work he did on my hand.

No faith.
His bedside manner is very rude and I have no faith in his ability as a surgeon. When I came in for re-check of my broken arm, he examined with only look at my arm with my winter down coat on and said 'you're good'.

Great surgeon,
Dr. Pannunzio has done 3 surgeries on my right hand and all of them have been great. He talks to me. Explains things to me and is very clear about what he can do and can't do. I'm preparing to call him today for another issue with my hand. At first he can be arrogant but once he knows you are serious and that it is really an issue he is all business and "lets get this done". He offers options from injections to surgery and allows you to make decisions. If he giv an injection it doesn't hurt and if her does surgery it doesn't hurt either. I've been happy with his performance every time I have visited his office.

RUDE physician
After waiting over an hour past my appointment time, I saw Dr. Pannunzio for the first time today. He has terrible bedside manner. He’s rude. He doesn’t examine. He talks in indirect circles & makes you feel like you’re the stupid one. He didn’t even examine the growth on my finger, which is affecting my mobility and is painful. Right away, he told me he couldn’t help me. He then told me he wanted to do x-rays in his office? What’s the point if you’re so certain that you, an “orthopedic surgeon” , can’t help with my bone/joint issue. I think I’ll keep my money & use it for a second opinion with a real doctor. The guy is an uneducated/educated idiot! Honestly, the internet would be more helpful than this joke of a doctor. He’s an embarrassment to the field! Clearly he’s in it for the title & paycheck, not because he has a patient first mindset. I would never recommend him!

Dr. Pannunzio was friendly, compassionate, polite and efficient. I couldn't believe the vast improvement in surgical procedures and the rapidity of the healing process that have taken place since I had this surgery done in the 90's on my other hand. He was not only recommended by my primary doctor but also by my son who worked with Dr. Pannunzio in the O.R. at Withham hospital as a surgical nurse. Can't better recommendations than that.

I have needed the services of two excellent physicians at RHSI. Dr. Sebastian Peers performed Rotator Cuff surgery on my right shoulder. I am fully recovered with no physical limitations. Dr. Peers was patient with my questions and accurate with respect to my recover timetable. Pre-op and post-op were efficient and professional. Rehab services at RHSI were timely, professional, and effective. Additionally, I have sought the services of Dr. Mike Pannunzio for persistent arthritis and tendonitis in my elbow. He has been informative and patient with my questions and has respected my desire to avoid surgery if possible. To date Dr. Pannunzio has helped me avoid surgery and stay physically active. When and if surgery is required I will most certainly choose Dr. Pannunzio and RHSI rehabilitation staff.

Saw Doctor Pannunzio for my thumbs. He injected cortisone and made them feel 1000x better. He explained it was a shorter term fix and eventually I'll need surgery (which I'm not looking forward to) but I wouldn't trust anybody else to do it. Top notch Doc!

Dr. Pannunzio was fantastic. I saw him for a pretty bad case of tennis elbow and he got me back on track quickly. His explanation of the injury and recovery process really helped me understand how it happened, what recovery should entail, and how to prevent future pain were very thorough and enlightening. He'll be the only doctor I ever recommend to my friends.

Visited Dr. Pannunzio twice for 2 trigger fingers. Received cortisone shots both times (2 weeks apart). The cortisone shots fixed my trigger fingers and even relieved my knee pain that I had experienced for a year and a half. He told me to try the shots before surgery because my trigger finger wasn't very bad (even though I thought it was). The wait was minimal, he was very professional and fun. Would highly recommend.

I saw Dr Pannunzio for an initial visit today and was very impressed. He diagnosed me with 'trigger finger' and clearly explained my treatment options. I only waited 8 minutes in the waiting room, then saw his nurse. She was personable in taking my preliminary info. I then waited perhaps 7-10 minutes to see Dr Pannunzio. Our consult took about 20 minutes...I never felt rushed or like he was dismissive. He answered every question and gave me a couple of good treatment options, one of which involves surgery. I will be scheduling my surgery with him shortly. He was courteous, patient, and engendered confidence. Highly recommended!

The arrogance and disregard for his patients I've never been treated so poorly than I was a Dr. Pannunizo's today. Appt 11:45 arrived 11:35 taken to the room 11:40. At 12:10 I walked out to the his assistant and said I had another appointment at 1:00, 20 minutes away. She said she'd let the doctor know. I passed his little cubby it was across from my room and he was hanging up from one phone call and making another I understand doctors' times are very scheduled but I tried to get there so I didn't keep him waiting.I waited until 12:30 and said her I was leaving he was making more phone calls when I left didn't even bother to look up. His assistant just said 'sorry' but it wasn't sincere. I've got a feeling it happens more often than not. Seeing him 6 wks ago & pleased with the results of the cortisone injections was due again today, even if he came in @12:30 there would not have been enough titime and get me to next appt. He should be ashamed to feel his time is more valuable then our

Dr. Pannunzio has performed Carpal Tunnel release on both of my hands. He was recommended to me by my shoulder surgeon and I could not have been more impressed. Dr. Pannunzio is a great guy and both procedures were as pleasant as surgery can be - dare I say even a little fun. I took the local anesthetic route and he kept me continuously informed as to what he was doing. I recommended him to my sister and her experience was the same.
