He preformed TURP procedure in June of 2016. I waited almost 4 years after he told me he could do the operation. It was a mistake to wait-self cath for 4 years was awful for my quality of life. The operation went well and i would recommend Dr. Novotny. He does not have time to chit chat but do be offended..........he's busy. I can urinate like I did in high school and I am 63 years old...................Amen

Has absolutely no knowledge about Interstitial Cystitis. Very pompous attitude. Took no notes during the time he was my dr where I underwent multiple procedures. Said my bladder looked normal and didn't know why I was in pain! I now have an amazing urologist and she said my bladder is in horrible condition. So I went yrs believing my bladder wasn't damaged and therefore was not receiving the proper treatments. Go elsewhere!

Worst medicalexperience I've ever had. Refused to consider the possibility I had IC, and so I received no treatment. Instead, he subjected me to a painful procedure which caused urethral bleeding and was needless. I left Kaiser shortly thereafter and received the diagnosis and a referral to East Sacramento Physical Therapy, where I had pelvic PT which saved my life. Shame on this doctor's incompetence, so typical of Kaiser Vermanente.
