Digital Rectal Exam after Radical Prostatectomy
I'm leaving a single star as there isn't zero star option. I had a Radical Prostatectomy in 2019 and subsequent radiation and anti androgen treatments, all of which Dr. Michaels was aware. My Dr. suggested I see a urologist regularly. So I got an appointment with Dr. Michaels since he knew my medical history. Frankly he was rude, he ask me why I was there and not much else. I told him my PSA was undetectable as of the month before (tested at Dana Farber Cancer Institute). At the end of the 5 minute long appointment he performed a Digital Rectal Exam. This was totally unnecessary according to several studies I found by a quick search of the web. He seemed angry that I was there. I wouldn't recommend Dr. Michaels.

Today I called the office of Dr. Betti and discovered he was off for a week -- the friendly receptionist told me Dr. Michaels was on call and would be in touch regarding my situation: urinating blood for five days. Instead of a return call from Dr. Michaels the nice secretary called me: I had to make an appointment given that my records needed to be updated, make an appointment -- a day hence -- or go to an emergency room. I consider this a truly insensitive response to a patient in need.

Dr. Michaels always seems to be in a rush. Explains things extremely quickly without allowing enough time to process the information and formulate any questions. Does not seem to want to give you the time of day.
