I’m being charged for an X-ray that was never taken. Billing department hasn’t bothered to return a call from myself or my insurance company for over two weeks.

May be a good surgeon, but not very personable
He is supposed to be a pediatric surgeon. He is not personable at all. He doesn't get to know the patients and seems a little aloof. When he did my daughter's surgery, he told me "4 screws, 2 plates". They then gave us the hardware and there were only 3 screws. I asked him about it and he was shocked and unsure. Luckily, a nurse was standing there and confirmed that when she was cleaning them, one fell in the garbage and she didn't retrieve it. (Hopefully, this is true). When my daughter woke up from surgery, she said her leg hurt and I said "of course it does, you just had surgery." She said "no mom, right here." We looked and there was 2 puncture wounds. We asked the nurse about them and she went and got the manager. When they had draped her they punctured her skin with the drape clamp! We had our follow up yesterday and Dr. Machen just brushed it off saying "it happens sometimes." No apology or anything. The scars look rushed and sloppy. Wish I could post pictures.
