COMPLETELY INCOMPETENT. I received a call from Dr. Lurakis office in May 2019 regarding the results of a Cologuard test taken in November 2017. The results were POSITIVE and they were notifying me 18 months AFTER I took the test. They suggested I follow-up with a Gastroenterologist. If I not taken action when I received the mailed result from Cologuard in Nov 2017, I would have stage 4 colon cancer now instead of being cancer free. Obviously Dr Lurakis does not review any of his patients results because he would have known my situation. He was my primary care physician and received all of my test results but apparently didn't feel it necessary to review them or discuss any of the results with me. I would never recommend this doctor to even my worst enemy. I have given a rating of poor which is higher than this office deserves.

So extremely disappointed. I am feeling a mass in lower abdomen, but they will not order an appropriate workup. My uncle died from colon cancer and I am not messing around with them any longer. My new doc immediately ordered a CT scan for definitive diagnosis. This office will never collect another copay from me again. If it is established that they delayed a Cancer diagnosis; then they will hear from my attorney..,

After reading some of the reviews, I find it hard to believe that people have written some of the things they did. I realize that each perspective can be different, but saying never call the office because you may be on hold! If you have been in the office, you will see the ladies constantly picking up the phone, answering questions, having other Doctors that need to speak to Doc Lurakis, etc. Doc Lurakis takes the time for each patient as needed. 35 years and it's all good. I'm still walking!

Started going to Dr. Lurakis five years ago. My first Appointment was with Dr. Lurakis. I haven’t been able to see Dr. Lurakis, DO because office they’re sort of discourage you from making appointments to see him the next appointment available is always three or four months away. I would not recommend this doctor if you want to see a doctor and not the nurse practitioner

I have been a patient with Dr. Lurakis for many years and he is a wonderful doctor, however, don't even try to call the office... No matter what time of the day you are put on hold for a minimum or 15 minutes. Seriously, try to call and see what happens.

He's a nice guy, but I'm not sure he's listening to all my concerns. For example, I'm getting muscle pain from Lipator, but he ignores this. He is quick to prescribe drugs, so if you need something, he is good for that.
