Dr. Michael Lichtman, MD

I’ve been a patient of his for over 15 years. He is exceptional in the care he provides. He gives the time you need without feeling rushed, which leads to his biggest fault. Sometimes he runs late for his appointments. It’s a tolerable situation because you know he will give you the same patience, care, and consideration he gives others.

Dr. Lichtman has a great bedside manner, making it very easy to talk to him. He is very knowledgeable and got my medication right the first visit. He keeps up with me and always ends the sessions by saying "If you need me at any time, DO NOT hesistate to call". I highly recommend him.

I think you either like him or you don't. He is not for everyone. If you are looking for someone that is straight forward and tells you like it is then he's the guy for you. If you're looking for someone to sugar coat it and coddle you then he's not for you. I love him. When my husband was killed he contacted me as soon as he heard. I have seen him off and on for 15 year. I am about to contact his office to start seeing him again.

Very professional, none judgmental, listens and develops a care plan that helps you succeed. Dr. Lichtman is The Godfather who is on your side helps you find your way and gives you the tools you need when your on the mattresses. God Bless Statesboro Psychiatry.

once a great doctor sunk so low not sure what happened. if he thinks hes curing you i guess his god complex is fulfilled i was having a bad reaction to meds and he was too busy to return a pager call. when he finally did 12 hours later it was to scold me for telling his office i had been waiting all day to hear from him - i was distressed to the point of impulsive suicidal thoughts and had to ask my 88 year old mother to hide my pills because i didnt trust myself THANKS FOR THE GREAT CARE! We see Dr. Lichtman in Savannah. He has worked us in on a same day emergency, and has saved my son's life. The care Dr. Lichtman has given to me and to my son is so far above excellent, I worry about the quality of our next psychiatrist, as we have to move soon. He has spoiled us with his wisdom, empathy, knowledge, and laughs - he's so funny, and made us feel at home, as with a member of the family. I wish him further success, and will miss him, immensely.

I'm very grateful that I was referred to Dr. Lichtman about 6 months ago. He is a man of great Character, Integrity, Morals, Values, Principles. He is a great listener, communicator and problem solver. Again, I'm grateful/thankful that he is now helping my family and me work through some difficult times.

Excellent doctor. I've been seeing Dr.Lichtman for 2 years now. He is kind, compassionate, knowledgeable, and quite funny. I feel he truly cares and trust him with my health.

He goes the extra mile. The guy is personable which is rare in his field. He has made after hour calls to check up on me which no one does. And he has hung in there with me when I just want to give up. If you are looking for an easy fix or a script I would go see some of the other p-doctors in the area!!!!. Simply put the guy seems to care. So if are able get an appointment with him, go! The Office Staff are awesome, be nice.

Dr. Lichtman has been an incredible psychiatrist to me. He is wonderful at his job and you will probably find yourself wishing you got to stay longer because he will undoubtedly become your friend. I can be completely honest with him and never feel any of the stereotype judgemental, i am holier than thou, just take the pills and get out of my office vibes from him. He will genuinely care about your well being and takes into account what you think and feel. He's also a really, really funny guy.

He is a very good Phychiatrist. I have seen another doctor in Savannah that did not.care about my condition just my insurance information. Dr. Lichtman has lengthen the time between my appointments, but let me know that I could always call him if I needed him. He is working toward reducing my medications, not giving me more. He listens and cares about his patients.
