Our best ever family dr.
All 6 of my family members have had dr. Lerner as their dr. We love him, he is very busy but answers our list of questions. From simple things to very scary and important things, he is there talking with us , giving a lot of information we need. I would and have told others about him. I believe he goes out of his way for me, mom of them all. I have complicated health history , he is there for me , helps me at the turns in the difficult rude I walk.

Dr. Lerner is a wonderful caring doctor. My husband, daughter, and myself have been going to him for over 28 yrs. He is on point with our diagnosises and treatment. We lived in Frederick until 3 yrs ago and moved to Hagerstown and we did not want to leave his care. I would recommend him to anyone looking for a good doctor. My only concern is that he might retire. Dr. Lerner is my hero!!

I went to an after-hours walk-in clinic that he was working at. I had a sinus infection that stemmed from a cold. I waited the requisite amount of time, and wasn't immediately begging for an antibio. What would have been a routine "Let me see your head, okay, here's the Rx", turned into a sarcastic lecture about my weight and diabetes. News flash: my PCP's specialty is Diabetes. His actions were rude and condescending. If you have to see him, stay sick until you can get someone else.

Dr Learner has been in my life for approximately 16 years. He has been taking care of my children and their children. He has always been there for us. He is a very caring physician and takes time with his patients. The most valuable trait he has is giving his patients quality care, listening, allowing them to ask questions, do not prescribe unnecessary medicine. The list is long. Now I am moving away from this location; however, I will not leave Dr Learner so I will be returning each year.

Dr. Lerner has been our family physician for the past 17 years. Wonderful doctor, a big fan of the common sense approach to health care. All of the physicians & NP's at the Thomas Johnson practice are great, but Dr. Lerner is my favorite!

The first time he met me he said I needed to consider Lap band or gastric bypass surgery. Little did he know that I was battling depression, poverty, and had little access to proper care up until then. I KNOW that at the time I was very overweight, but I wish he would have gotten to know me better and tried to understand why before telling me I needed weight loss surgery. That was a very sensitive time in my life and by doing that, he made it worse. I never went back.

Dismissive of my illness. Did not help me. I was seriously ill but he would not return messages for help. Apparently unable or unwilling to diagnose.

He really listens to me and knows how I feel with my depression and anxiety issues. He helps me save money on scrips because I don't have a lot of money. He's great
