my life as a phy Dr Lee interpret his full office to come to UCLA and rescue me from two arrogant residents and a female supervisor who didn?t want to pay attention to my signs and symptoms of a cardiovascular event. He found my left anterior descending was 98% blocked and reamed it out and inserted a stent before there was major myocardial damage. He was courteous to his staff. He explained everything. This is a very serious skilled captain of the ship who is superior in skills, has major demands on his time and prioritizes tasks. So it?s not surprising that along the way, with thousands of patients, some rare patients needs may not appear to rank as high as those in imminent danger of dying.I myself have made patients angry simply by their misunderstanding of my explanation for caution. In summary, Dr Lee is a treasure of a person whose skill and wisdom excels and runs a tight ship.I would rather have imperfect bedside manners than a charming middle grade Dr who merely does reasonably well. Talented surgeon
As a physician and surgeon myself, I am grateful to Dr Lee for his skillful stent placement surgery that saved my husband's life in June 2018. I can't believe the 1 star reviews! Everyone at ucla is busy and trying to do the best they can, and a 1 star review on bedside manner is unfair. We found him attentive and on point. Also, a 1 star review is totally unfair because he only gave you a temporary refill of "5 tablets". It could be that you did not see him for the last 2 years. Medications are not "set and forget". If someone prescribes you medicine, they have to routinely check you while you take that medication. It would be irresponsible to give you refills, and I suspect that is what happened. I would confidently recommend Dr. Lee to my patients and to friends and family.

UCLA, Dr. Lee needs anger management training
One of the worst experiences of my life. First, he needs to learn bedside manners. Secondly, UCLA should send him to anger management training (it is disturbing the way he treats his staff, trainees). Third, Dr. Dave Rave is more skillful, kinder, and nicer (director of interventional cardiology at UCLA)

Dr. Michael Lee is fantastic
Dr. Michael Lee is a life saver. He is super experienced and literally saved my life when there was a significant blockage years after a triple bypass operation. He is calming, a good listener and a good communicator. If you need a cardiologist, he should be your pick. Believe me, if something happens and there is cath lab work to be done, ask for him.

Dr Lee is the best cardiologist in LA. He saved my life twice by putting two stents in my arteries. The first stent was put in after my LAD was close to completely blocked. Dr Lee is highly experienced, has performed tens of thousands of angiograms. If you are looking for a cardiologist, look no further. You will be very pleased as I am.

Simple appointment and was prescribed Benazepril. Suddenly, after two years, Dr. Lee has refused to refill the prescription, with zero notice. After contesting this odd decision, he offered to prescribe 5 pills on the condition an appointment with his office would be made... his assistant had zero idea if there were any appointments available for the month.

I met Dr. Lee who was a consultant to the Transplant Surgery Group. He was abrupt, unfriendly, and almost combative taking a history, He rapidly informed me which cardiology tests to take and if they were OK HE WOULD APPROVE ME FOR SURGERY, and if there was any question I would need a cardiac catheterization which, since I was without symptoms, I regarded as meddlesome. Although any test results performed will be sent to him for review, I would not return to him for future visits or treatment.

MD in network of my insurance provider, a simple EKG was performed ( max 5 minutes with the doctor). Bills received $760 for physician service and $489 for out patient visit from the UCLA hospital. i initially just wanted to see a cardiologist in my network and pay the specialist co-pay. this 1200 dollars bill, even if my insurance is paying a portion of it is scandalous !! As per the American Academy of family Physicians, a EKG cost about $50. Run away and call another physician !!

Dr Lee is one of very best doctors in UCLA. He has taken care many patients with heart diseases. I had two stent placement procedures with Dr Lee. The first procedure was in 2013 to take care a 95% blocked LAD. Dr Lee provided thorough care and consultations throughout. Then in 2016, I had chest pain. Dr Lee orderd CAT scan which discovered a 90% blockage in a new location. Within days, Dr Lee performed another smooth procedure to clear the blockage. Needless to say, he has saved my life twice

After one consultation with Dr. Lee and other consultations with my PCP and multiple tests, I had an angiogram with Dr. Lee. The prior CT scan with contrast did not show what was happening as seen on the angiogram and Dr. Lee performed a very difficult and delicate procedure placing a stent in my right artery which was 100% blocked at the time. His bedside manner and communication was excellent throughout. He is highly skilled surgeon who I place my life with.
