Dr. Michael Lanham, MD

Dr Lanham was so kind and listened to me during my care. Now years later I remember his kindness during my journey to our miracle. So glad he was the champion of our care.

Bedside manner was terrible. He wasn’t warm or interested in helping us. Just stated getting pregnant would be impossible and to consider adoption. All this without blood work or other tests. My husband and I were so distraught from his dry manner we didn’t bother to follow up. At such a sensitive time, where was his compassion?

Not pleased with the experience at all. He suggested doing IVF the moment me and my partner walked into the door. Neither him or his staff took the time to communicate with us, diagnose properly, or get to know our health history. We ended up going to a different doctor, and switching just one medication lead to a healthy natural pregnancy. He might be good at IVF, but if you really want to get to the bottom of your infertility causes, and try to get pregnant naturally without having to spend tons of money, this is not the doctor for you. He is a businessman who sees his patients as sources of income. And him and his team are not very subtle either, they don't offer any alternatives, or try to work with a couple to figure out the strategy that works for them. Overall, very poor experience. Never thought we would be treated like that in University of Michigan of all places. The attitude and service level was equivalent of a shady scam clinic somewhere in Eastern Europe.

Dr. Lanham is the best doctor I've worked with (for any type of care). He's both extremely knowledgeable and personable--exactly what I was looking for. Him and his staff have gone out of their way to answer every question we've had.

Dr. Lanham is knowledgable, attentive, and effective. I went to Dr. Lanham to freeze my eggs prior to a cystectomy operation on both my ovaries (due to endometriosis). After several tests, I was unable to freeze at the time due to the size and location of the cysts, but I returned to him post cystectomy. It resulted in a successful freezing of my eggs. I would very much recommend him to anyone looking for a reproductive endocrinologist, not just for his knowledge but also his bedside manner.
