Treats your age not your symptoms
Only interested if you have a serious brain disorder that looks good on his resume. Only neurologist I have seen that did not listen and had the gaul to say in his notes, not at visit, that I was confused. Was not told that before. He did say he had patients that left in the middle of their appointment.No wonder

I was a patient of Dr. Ko for many years in Chicago and was very sad when he moved out of State. He is a phenomenal doctor and very informed on MS care. He is an attentive listener who does not rush you. He explains everything clearly and encourages your active participation in your treatment plan. He is in tune to emotional needs and remains professional and calm if as the patient you are a bit frustrated. If you have MS he is a top tier doctor for all your needs.

Diagnoses MRI and not patient
I was misdiagnosed with MS by Dr. Ko. He diagnosed me in literally 5 minutes. Read the MRI first and did not care I had no symptoms of MS. He didn’t listen to my story or my hesitation toward the diagnosis. You cannot be diagnosed with MS this quickly. I did not fulfill the McDonald criteria, but he went ahead and diagnosed me anyway. I was psychologically traumatized because of this man and am working with a therapist now because of him. Told me to “get my affairs in order.” So sad I saw him. Got 3 other opinions and not one agreed with Ko and his rushed diagnosis. Thank god I didn’t listen to this man. I’d be on medication I don’t need and my life would be completely different. Make sure to get your 2nd opinions! They can change your life.

Dr Ko was very thorough and never seemed in a rush to get to the next patient. He spent a great deal of time with us and in addition to demonstrating knowledge, he was also very friendly.

I have been diagnosed with NMO. I decided to see Dr. Ko which I was referred to by a friend. This was the best thing I have done. I am now a new patient of him. He spent two hrs with me and went over a lot of things with me. Dr.Ko is ver understanding he cares he listens he is just the best dr. ever. I’m glad I made this decision. I didn’t have to wait long to get in just over all the best!!

My daughter was diagnosed with MS. She'd been treated by an older doctor, very old school. I switched to Dr. Ko. Dr. Ko was extremely patient & understanding, knowing we had no real understanding of MS, he explained everything to us. Our first visit, he was with us 1 1/2 hrs. & explained a treatment plan. Each visit after, he went over the MRI and explained what we were seeing in her brain. He adjusted medicine til it worked for her. He's a compassionate, caring Dr. & never made us feel like a #
