If you are ready this then you have come to the right place. Two reviews here. First Dr. Kaveney. What a great doctor. Super bedside manner , actually looks you in the eyes when he talks to you. Good to see "old school manners" from a doctor. Five star rating. !!!!! Second the Riverview Westfield. Hospital. Good facility , superclean, and great Nurses I had after surgery.Highly recommend to anyone having Ortho surgery.

I trust Dr. Kaveney because he looks to help me as a patient and not just 'sell' services like PT or want to rush into surgery. I have bad knees and we just did steroid shots. His conservative approach and straight talk are very refreshing.

My visit to Dr. Kaveney was very helpful. He listened and we discussed options. I am sure I am getting the best care from Dr. Kaveney. He went the extra mile to make sure I knew what to expect with my upcoming surgery. He has a great staff also.

Was great with my 13-year-old - she dislocated her knee cap and he spoke to her about her injury and detailed the treatment plan and follow up. He helped ease her fears about the injury and helped her understand how to prevent it in the future. We were both so impressed with Dr. Kaveney!

Had many surgeries on both knees over the years and I wouldn’t let anyone else do it as long as he is available. He is a excellent surgeon.

Doesn't have time for patients that are old and probably aren't going to have surgery. Did not take time to discuss issue and issued proclamations that were not factual.

I have known Dr Kaveney for years and he is a great Orthopedic Surgeon and is always warm and friendly. He has greatly helped my sore, arthritic knees with steroid injections. He is VERY knowledgeable and down to earth and has always taken his time to listen to me.

After visiting Riverview ER for my ankle, I was referred to Dr. Kaveney. I was extremely disappointed at his unprofessionalism. Dr. Kaveney cursed throughout the appointment. This shocked me. He also threw away the splint I had been given in the ER and told me to walk in a normal shoe. After walking in a regular shoe that afternoon the pain kept me up all night. This caused me to have to go back to the ER, which was an additional charge, because of him. I ended up seeing another orthopedist.

never recommending this dr.upset at my pc for referring.Dr. Kaveney was very unprofessional. He walks in room didn't even know why I was there.. Didn't seem to care too much about my opinion, only enough to shoot his own opinion.Gave diagnosis by simply looking at knees. No images, sounds like a guess. He was talking to me he used profanity in front of my wife. Was arrogant, did not give a comforting feel.Every symptom cracking, grinding, pain, blamed on muscles.Extremely eager to leave room&b done

As for the surgical procedure, I assume all well after 3 weeks. As for post-op, follow ups and esp. pain mgmt, he has earned a flat zero. Appears to treat every pt the same re their individual pain/discomfort and is unwilling to even consider alternate painkillers available. I've had one post-op visit and have received no PT instructions other than to stretch the leg. Not attentive. His care plan doesn't even cover time between ofc visits.

Office only scheduled appts. In the middle of the afternoon, extremely inconvenient! Staff didn't seem to communicate with each other well, not very professional, knowledgeable or friendly on the phone. Dr. Kaveney was Ok, originally said recovery would be 6 weeks then later said 3 months. Didn't order PT or tell me any exercises to do. Just wasn't clear with me on what I should really expect during recovery.
